Repeat the above 3 phrases over and over and over. Then throw in some asides about people to deeply flawed to drive a bus let alone a super powerful spaceship. That's Faith in a nutshell. Bad story, worse characters, "Diseased", "Infected", "Turned in its own length" ad nauseum. Do yourself a favor and pass.

The story was pretty good. However it was almost unlistenable due to the alien voices the narrator was using. It really sounded to me like he was trying to talk around a mouthful of pasta every time he was reading the alien's dialog. That was distracting all the way through.

This book is just plain horrible. The characters are unbelievable and boring going on long tirades about nature. The sci-fi technology aspects of the book are quickly glossed over almost like they were just getting in the way of the nature tirades.

It was so bad I gave up. I listened for 6 annoying hours and had to stop. I don't know how much Crichton had to do with this book but it is by far the worst thing with his name on it.
