What did Charles Darwin, middling schoolboy and underachieving second son, do to become one of the earliest and greatest naturalists the world has known? What were the similar choices made by Mozart and by Caesar Rodriguez, the U.S. Air Force's last ace fighter pilot? In Mastery, Robert Greene's fifth book, he mines the biographies of great historical figures for clues about gaining control over our own lives and destinies. Picking up where The 48 Laws of Power left off, Greene culls years of research and original interviews to blend historical anecdote and psychological insight, distilling the universal ingredients of the world's masters.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Good book but the material is better covered by other writers (Napoleon Hill esp)
the main contribution Robert Greene makes to the story is, well, stories.
This is good and he is good at it, I have three paper books by him, this one however was reduced by Robert's tendency to reference the theory of evolution as fact. Get angry and defensive but it is still a theory.

Would you ever listen to anything by Robert Greene again?

    yup

What about Fred Sanders’s performance did you like?

odd way to phrase a question, I guess it's asking if I like his performance? He did a good job yes.

Was Mastery worth the listening time?

    nope

    Any additional comments?

If you would like a nicely modernized Napoleon Hill and can tolerate or believe in the religion of evolution then this book is well written and I recommend it.
