I have only the audio edition of the book, so I can't tell. This audio edition is very well narrated. More like a performance, than a reading.
The police chief. He is flawed, but not rotten to the bones.
Each character is memorable in its own way and place, but I couldn't single out any one of them. They are quintessential for their own types.
The story it's rather an uncomplicated one, but some supernatural and Connelly's unmistakable style ads up to an entertaining experience. Go for it!
Yes I would, because everything I read so far from this author captivated my attention and fantasy. He combines the journalist's experience and fast pace with a true literary vein. His personages are larger than life and yet you can relate to them.
