a GREAT human story line - no superman here just life.
Diaz - full of mystery - character not explained but enough detail to give the reader the imagination to run
As usual great voices for characters - pauses work well, modulation and emotion spot on.
Some loose ends I would have liked better tie up a little more closure. But the main characters and the ending was very VERY STRONG.
If you didn't read the novella you'd be a little lost for a bit. If you did read the novella you'd be a little irritated at the slight repetition. But you can get through it.
When Dad came for a visit. BAH HAHAHA!
YES! And she's AWESOME!
I can see where the other readers would be a bit on the harsh side but really think about the situation and the ages of the characters. When you take that into account Ms. Tyler NAILED IT!
Yes. Navy SEALS are SAILORS not soliders. If "General" Grant is in the NAVY then he's an ADMIRAL. Also, there are no Marine Lieutenants the equivalent would be a Marine Captain. Please Ms. Tyler I know you might think most of your audience might not be women in uniform......but you might be surprised ;)
The story, the twist, the direction. You can see and feel the evolution of Ms. Duvall and its FABULOUS! Don't know if I can say this is my favorite because DANG! I love them ALL!
I was talking back to the book! Laughing Out Loud at one part, Awwing at other parts it was just WOW!
That's definitely a hard one! Each character pass and present..... well you just "root" for them ALL!
******SPOILER ALERT****** the end nuff said.
Yeah! Must we wait for the next BOOKS! Cause I can easily see 4 more to follow! If NOT MORE! Please Ms. Duvall don't make us wait a YEAR!
Story was gripping.
A solid addition in the series.
I look for her in other books her narration is just AWESOME!
I very good story with many hard choices and truths...really not as sizzling as others in the genre but well satisfied with a good story. Ready for the next book - till then will be re-listening to this one - wait I already have guess I'll listen for a third TIME ;)
Bantering between Hawk and Adrienne...
Adrienne - Smart and Sweet
Male take is Great - Females ah seem to sound the sameish
No not really - I like to take my time with this one
It is worth the buy - I've listened to the book TWICE! waiting for my next credit to buy the next in the series!
The complications - characters from other books part of this book - closure for some feels - that was nice very nice.
His male voices are HOT! Female voices are just fine especially when he has to do aloof - he does aloof WELL!
No needs to be savory not rushed
WOW! I just love the intertwining that Duvall writes. Her growth from book to book is AWESOME! Never losing sight of prior characters introducing new characters - FABULOUS!
Ami - she is strong, she is fearless - she is weak, she is afraid - she is HUMAN! so giving of herself.
Her take on the voices - the quips, emotion just spot one. you can HEAR the body language - that's how GOOD she is!
Wanting more just wanting more - Zach? Cousins? Seth? So many more books to go in the series - SO EXCITED!!
When is the next book coming OUT!
GRRM is the best fisherman ever! Just enough of each character leaving you wanting more - then on to the next character answering questions and giving you more questions!
Lord of the Rings - but I did not "listen" to the books, so the comparison is not fair.
Not until Game of Thrones.
the building of relationships
Already did, have and will probably listen again!
Darkness Dawns, Blood Born - genre mostly and also a good second book to Darkness Dawns - I really enjoy the character development and not forgetting Roland and Sarah in this series.
When she reads you can just "see" the expression the tone and modulation is spot on. The take on the accents is something I wouldn't experience.
Almost did.... :)
Getting ready to listen to it again - as I wait impatiently for #3 to be available here!
Up at the top I enjoy the genre and like the twist and turns.
But of course SARAH! Why ask Why? She is level headed, brave, smart and prone to violent tendencies - "I like her...."
No I haven't until now - but I will be looking for her NAME now. I love how she gives life to each character and her take on the quips AWESOME!
laughed out loud - deep thoughts - hot romance - and building of other characters make you antsy for the next book highlighting them.
