"Amazing Ending"
It doesn't get any better. Epic in all it entails.
Start at book 1, and listen to the finish over the course of a month.
A+++
"Jumps around so much it makes me dizzy"
There were a couple problems I had with this audiobook:
1. The recording itself was bad. It sounded like it was an old 70's era recording that was copied over to .mp3 format without any cleanup. It skipped parts of sentances here and there and I could hear a static hiss every now and then in the background.
2. A lot of the words and pronunciations aren't the same as current recording. Nitpicking here, but it really hurts immersion.
3. As far and the book itself, the timeline and the points of view jump around without any notice. It skips ahead by weeks then months then decades seemingly at will.
4. Lack of a real ending. It just fades out and you're left to wonder what happens.
If you're a fan of Larry Niven (like myself) it's a good listen if you want to know a lot of little details from before the Ringworld or Man-Kzin novels. But otherwise you should probably look somewhere else, this one will be a tough pill to swallow.
"Great, but SO SHORT"
I really loved this one.
Sanderson creates truly unique and interesting magic systems for his works, thumbs up!
5 Stars if it had been longer.
"Overhyped"
Did anyone else want the main character to die after the first 6 chapters or so?
One of the few times the movie was better than the book sadly.
Won't be listening to the other two books.
"FUN all the way through"
EVE universe is SO much FUN.
Great story and nice pacing. Wonderful way all the seperate threads were woven together.
Hopefully the story continues
"Could have been so much more"
The story was very slow, and if you were expecting a continuation of the last novel you are mistaken.
"Enjoyable!"
The first 4-5 chapters were very slow, I even fell asleep at one point. BUT if you can get past the start it speeds up quite a bit. Ends up being a very good listen.
"Tragically lacking"
Here it is in a nutshell:
Great story ruined by a horrid ending and a plot that you just keeps dragging along.. chapter after chapter of useless ^%$#.
Just make up an ending for the series for yourself, it'll probably be more interesting.
This is the first time I wish I could return an audiobook.
