"Typical Christopher Moore"
If you are a Christopher Moore fan you will love this book. Typical twists and turns and a very unusual look at the subject matter. Love his sense of humour. If you have never tried a Christopher Moore book be prepared for the language.
"Interesting Theories in Management"
Did not necessarily enjoy the switching between two narrators in this book. Didn't add to the experience. The material was interesting, but nothing really new or startingly, but then I have stayed up on the latest management philosophies so that would be expected. For a new manager this is one book they should listen to and absorb.
"Okay for a new Sherlock Holmes story"
The narrator was very good at giving the different characters different voices, a couple of areas that seem to be slips in voices but good overall. Story was okay but didn't have quite the ah-ha moments of a good Holmes story.
"History in Sound Bites"
Entertaining look at history, not dry, dull or boring. Capsule comments that give an interesting perspective on the British monarchy. Ric Jerrom has a great voice. Enjoyed every moment of it. Wish there were more books of this nature to listen to.
"Loved this book!"
Thought it was refreshingly honest, funny, and human. Too often we forget that actors are just people too. Thoroughly enjoyed it, recommended it to several friends and played it in the car for my husband to listen to as well.
"Thought Provoking"
Had this book recommended by a friend and didn't have the time to read it - the Audio book was a perfect compromise. Narration was supurb and the plot was good. Had to go back from the ending and listen to the last couple of chapters again because of the unexpected ending. Understand why it was recommended to me and would recommend it to others.
"Easy listen - good distraction"
Enjoyable, doesn't make you work too hard. Sometimes you just need something light to distract from everyday life and this works well.
"A.J. Jacobs Fan"
I had read his previous books and was looking forward to listening to this one. Did not find this as humorous as his previous works but still enjoyable. Looking forward to his next book.
"Takes me back to Jules Verne"
This was my first foray into
