Shouldn't there be something descriptive that let's the reader believe the story is in Hawaii?
No main characters are Hawaiian, but the Hawaiians are criminals??? Really!?!?! Even the street names and buildings are common English. A few Hawaiian phrases that's it.

The story is ok. Not easily predictable. I may read another Flowers book. But I was looking forward to a book set in Hawaii...remind me of my vacation, some of the sights and locations that I might really imagine the scenes.

Please, Don't title the book in an exotic locale and use it as a selling point to get the reader's attention and not deliver. Fail!

This is well written and the best Michael Bennett, so far. Is this the end??? I don't know. Reach your own conclusion.

I kind of like the idea that Mary Catherine crushes on Michael without the relationship developing into anything. She cannot replace 'Mave'. I don't think he sees her as more than the- closest-to-Mave-as-he-can-get-for-the-children.

That Michael is considering his feelings for Mary Catherine and the possibility of becoming more serious is not good...not good for Mary Catherine.

I appreciate that Michael doesn't try to save the world on his own, but that he works with those around him to solve a tough situation. ( I'm trying not to give anything away, here) However, anything this hero does eventually comes back to threaten his happiness.
The bad guys just don't like being beaten by Detective Bennett.

I am a big Reacher fan. The thought that someone would try to get into his head is frankly hilarious. I was not familiar with "Cotton Malone" or "John Rain" characters. This snippet is a good introduction to those characters for me. 'Dr. Morgan Snow" does her job well.

The stories are narrated by the voices you are used to which gives the illusion they have really encountered Dr. Snow and her 'couch'.

Like the headline leads...'cute'...and funny.

I can compare this to the last WMC books and it is an improvement over the last 3 which were VERY predictable. This one had enough twists to keep me interested.
As far as narration, the change to Ms. LaVoy didn't make a difference to me due to the length of time between WMC releases.

I can compare this to the last few Patterson books and say the same...finally, a book I wanted to finish. Guilty Wives was intriguing then became easy to figure out "who done it", The last Alex Cross, put me to sleep...literally. Once I read "Postcard Killers" and "Private", I have had no interest in the rest of the "Private" series.

I don't like writing this review. My husband introduced me to Mr. Patterson 15 years ago. There has been a decline in the storytelling over the years, and it is that fan dedication that keeps me coming back, only to be disappointed.

Beach Road is by far my favorite, and Suzzanne's Diary for Nicolas made me cry. Early Alex Cross, amazing!! When the wind blows is the true beginning of the Maximum Ride stories and they really brought you in and wonder what kinds of secret experiments are going on out there.

I felt the genius that is Mr. Patterson return in the first Michael Bennet book. With the exception of 'Private series' I will remain a fan and continue his series books and summer reads (individual titles usually released in summer, I call them), in hopes they get better.

I've said it before, Maybe 11-12 books a year shouldn't be the goal, but good quality story telling, please Mr. Patterson.

Oh, and thank goodness Daniel X is finished....no good words about that set.

I didnt't like Andre Brauher as narrator and hoped they would bring back Peter Jay Fernandez. Andre's style with the Cross series is dull. I lost interest quickly. This book is very predictable and lacks the action and suspense Mr. Patterson is known for. I am a huge fan and read or listen to many of James Patterson's series and stand alone novels. His lastest works (2011) have left me just wanting anything better than this. Maybe he shouldn't try 11 books in 2012 as he set the record for this year and focus on just making his stories better.

If only parenting, and friendships were this easy. I could sum this story in one sentence but won't spoil it for you. Clearly Mr. Woods wrote for a half hour sitcom when he penned this. Sum up a lifetime of experiences in an unbelievably short amount of time. In one short story, Stone's life flips completely in another direction but the end, leaves him unchanged from the shallow character we expect.
We all haunt the day our chidren are smartest one's in the room.
Mr. Woods wrote this as if he'd never sat in a room with a parent or a teenager. I really believe research for this book was way down the list of priorities.
