Once, Special Agent Smoky Barrett hunted serial killers for the FBI. She was one of the best, until a madman terrorized her family, killed her husband and daughter, and left her face scarred and her soul brutalized. Turning the tables on the killer, Smoky shot him dead, but her life was shattered forever.

    "Rated F for foul language"
    Overall

The plot and characters were excellent and the bad guy is a REAL surprise, but the language is rediculously and unnecessarily foul. I could have done without that and would have appreciated a warning. I wish authors would learn that adding such wasted words doesn't build the personality of the character or express their mood, it only cheapens an otherwise excellent work.

Alexander Roman wants nothing to do with the controlling rulers of his vampire breed or the family he escaped from a hundred years ago. But as a new threat to the pureblood vampires emerges, Alexander's ties to the past are forced upon him again, and without warning, he finds himself - disoriented, terrified, and near death - at the door of a stranger. Dr. Sara Donahue is dedicated to removing the traumatic memories of her patients - like those of the stranger at her front door.

Would you try another book from Laura Wright and/or Tavia Gilbert?

The storyline and presentation is somewhat cheesy and the constant cursing and crudeness of the sex scenes ruined an otherwise interesting plot for me. I would read from boredom only.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Ending does make you want to know what happens in the next story but you can predict a lot of it.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

    Yes

Did Eternal Hunger inspire you to do anything?

Write a review to warn other readers of the rediculously foul language

When an unlikely (and nameless) hero stumbles into the path of a serial killer, he has no choice but to defend himself, and ends up killing the killer. Shocked by his own strength, he then goes through the dead man's wallet and finds the damnedest thing: a personal ad inviting the killer to join a party hosted by Errol Flynn. Errol Flynn? Isn't he dead?

    Overall

I finished this book out of sheer morbid curiosity. The best compliment that I can offer the author is that his synopsis is by far the highlight of his work. It lured me into purchasing a book that I would otherwise never have watched as a movie, much less wasted my time reading.

A caravan of cars drives down Route 66, each passenger bearing a photograph. They are the parents of missing children, all brought together by word that children's grave sites are being discovered along the road. Kathy Mallory drives with them. The child she seeks, though, is herself. During the next few days, she will find herself hunting a killer like no one she has ever known, and will undergo a series of revelations of stunning intensity and effect.

Wasn't that impressed with the main character or the plot. It was ok, just not the suspense I had hoped for.

A madman is stalking women in the city. By the time his victims are found, they've been dismembered with careful precision, their limbs stacked into a gruesome pyramid and completely cleansed of every last drop of blood. Accustomed to working on the most grisly homicides, detective Frank Quinn's nerves don't rattle easily. But when the last names of the killer's victims spell out "Q-u-i-n-n", the veteran cop feels a chill run down his spine.

    Larry says: "A great read"
    "Wasn't Impressed"
    Overall

The plot and characters were a good read, but the narrator was rediculously dramatic. He should go back to the basics or quit, in my opinion he destroyed this book. The ending didn't please me, but I can't complain without giving it away.

Late one night, exploring her father's library, a young woman finds an ancient book and a cache of yellowing letters. The letters are all addressed to "My dear and unfortunate successor", and they plunge her into a world she never dreamed of: a labyrinth where the secrets of her father's past and her mother's mysterious fate connect to an inconceivable evil hidden in the depths of history.

I was really surprised but enjoyed this book very much. It does pace a little slow, but for long rides and rainy days, its great.
