After 12 years of secret training, Atticus O’Sullivan is finally ready to bind his apprentice, Granuaile, to the earth and double the number of Druids in the world. But on the eve of the ritual, the world that thought he was dead abruptly discovers that he’s still alive, and they would much rather he return to the grave. Having no other choice, Atticus, his trusted Irish wolfhound, Oberon, and Granuaile travel to the base of Mount Olympus, where the Roman god Bacchus is anxious to take his sworn revenge - but he’ll have to get in line behind an ancient vampire, a band of dark elves, and an old god of mischief.

If you’ve listened to books by Kevin Hearne before, how does this one compare?

I've been completely underwhelmed with book 4 & book 5. They don't seem to capture my interest like the first 3 books in the series did.

He has barely survived his first, soul-shattering mission, and when he returns to the court, he is thrown headfirst into the tumult of royal life.

What did you love best about Royal Assassin?

So glad I didn't give up on this series because the 2nd book was amazing!! I found the first book quite forgettable & it just didn't stand out at all for me. I had trouble even recalling what the story was about. This book totally gripped me & I was completely hooked on what would happen next. Now I'm hoping the 3rd book wraps it up nicely & provides for excellent adventure.
