As a world-class equestrian and Olympic contender, Annemarie Zimmer lived for the thrill of flight atop a strong, graceful animal. Then, at 18, a tragic accident destroyed her riding career and Harry, the beautiful horse she cherished. Now, 20 years later, Annemarie is coming home.

OMG. I found myself screaming at the stupidity of this woman. The only saving grace was the narrator. She was excellent!! I've never wanted a book to end so fast in my life and the saddest part is I couldn't stop listening to it because I needed to hear what next dumb thing she would do.

Not so very long ago, Eragon - Shadeslayer, Dragon Rider - was nothing more than a poor farm boy, and his dragon, Saphira, only a blue stone in the forest. Now the fate of an entire civilization rests on their shoulders. months of training and battle have brought victories and hope, but they have also brought heartbreaking loss. And still, the real battle lies ahead: they must confront Galbatorix. When they do, they will have to be strong enough to defeat him. And if they cannot, no one can.

As a very big fan of these books, I was really let down by this one. After reading the 1st, I couldn't wait for the 2nd and so on. So when finally Inheritance Book 4 came out, I jumped at the bit. With the others in the cycle, I hated getting out of the car, I wanted to keep listing and I just didn't want them to end. With this book, I WANT IT TO END. I found myself driving around, taking the long way to work in hopes that I would get to the end. I think that because this is the last in the cycle, the author can't let go. For those that love the series, don't bother with this book. Bummer

So...you'd think after banishing an immortal being and a fallen High Priestess, saving Stark's life, biting Heath, getting a headache from Erik, and almost dying, Zoey Redbird would catch a break. Sadly, a break is not in the House of Night school forecast for the High Priestess in training and her gang. Juggling three guys is anything but a stress reliever, especially when one of them is a sexy Warrior who is so into protecting Zoey that he can sense her emotions.

Would you consider the audio edition of Tempted to be better than the print version?

    Didn't read the printed version

What was one of the most memorable moments of Tempted?

    Not finished yet

Would you be willing to try another one of Cassandra Morris’s performances?

    No

    Any additional comments?

Why did this author change narrators so many times? Can someone please ask her that. The first reader was excellent, the second one okay but good grief, if you are going to change narrators can you please get them all together and decide on the pronunciation of the names?

When a wealthy man first meets his mail-order bride in 1907, he realizes this statuesque beauty is anything but a "simple missionary's daughter." But he doesn't know of her devious plan to leave Wisconsin as a rich widow. Nor does she know of the furious demons he longs to unleash during the lonely months of snowbound isolation.

Richard says: "Intriguing story but only average writing"
    "Disappointing"
    Overall

What makes this book disappointing is the narrator. The guy uses the same voice for everyone and I have to pay close attention to which character is speaking. I'm going to finish it but won't listen to anything Mark Feuerstein reads again.

From the Battery to the Bronx, Manhattan is crawling with Vampyres. Joe Pitt is one of them, and he's not happy about it. Yeah, he gets to be tough as nails and hard to kill. But spending his nights trying to score a pint of blood to feed the Vyrus that's eating at him isn't his idea of a good time.

This book was all over the place. I kept listening because I thought it would get better. It did, when the little guy at the end said "Audible hopes you blah, blah, blah." That was the enjoyable part. Scott Brick who I usually liked annoyed me too.

  • Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal

    • UNABRIDGED (15 hrs and 20 mins)

Verily, the story Biff has to tell is a miraculous one, filled with remarkable journeys, magic, healings, kung fu, corpse reanimations, demons, and hot babes. Even the considerable wiles and devotion of the Savior's pal may not be enough to divert Joshua from his tragic destiny. But there's no one who loves Josh more (except maybe "Maggie," Mary of Magdalan) and Biff isn't about to let his extraordinary pal suffer and ascend without a fight.

Hope says: "A Worthy Book, indeed"
    "Outstanding"

I am not even finished and I've told anybody that will listen to listen to this book. I know that when people see me driving in the car they probably think I've lost my mind because I'm laughing uncontrollably at some of this stuff.
