"Non-stop action"
Pace was frantic...Felt like one huge battle scene. Quite enjoyable ear candy. Science was not ridiculous, military protocols felt well researched. Not going to win a Pulitzer, but I look forward to the next in the series....Is it out yet? damn...how 'bout now?
"CyberNoir."
Just as enjoyable as the first, more tech in this one. More violent too, but I do not look at that as a downside.
"Fun read"
Once is enough
his last "presidential voice" sounds like Dan Rather. Made me smile.
Not sure if he intended to do so for subsequent books, but there were some rather dramatic events that had no follow up.

Narrator is fine
Reads like it was written by a very hormonal teenager. Got to the werewolves and gave up. Very, very disappointing.
"Wonderful book, incredible voicing."
The meat of the book was great. Really gave one the impression of the life of 17th century Italy was really like (I have no frame of reference, but it certainly had the air of believability). My only complaint is the ending was a bit anti-climactic. It fit, but I felt like he wrapped it up took quickly and didn't get into it as much as I would have liked.
The narrator was incredible as well. Really brought the characters to life for me.
