I learned so much about the life of a SEAL and the storyline kept me riveted. It is more about his overall career than just the UBL mission.
He does a really fab job of narrating.
No but I listened to it very quickly over a few days. While I had it playing my husband and sons often sat down to listen in as well because the story was just so interesting.
It was completely unpredictable and even shocking in some aspects.
The narration is amazingly well done and draws you in every time you turn it on.
No it put me to sleep a few times.
The pacing of the events in the story bothered me . Three fourths of the story takes place in one summer and the last fourth rushes forward through the last thirty years of Cora's life at lightning speed. It felt like a different novel.
I love hearing the author herself do the narration.
I only heard the free hour and wanted to hear more.
The story kept me very interested and wondering what would happen next which is hard to do with a true to history topic.
It has been a long time since a book actually moved me to tears because I cared about the characters so much. I fell in love with the time period details and the detailed descriptions made the scenes come alive in my mind's eye.
It is not an original book from Trigiani but if you are a fan of hers at all you will love this novel.
The performance is well done if you enjoy Scottish accents like I do and a good but simple love story.
