Annabeth is terrified. Just when she’s about to be reunited with Percy - after six months of being apart, thanks to Hera - it looks like Camp Jupiter is preparing for war. As Annabeth and her friends Jason, Piper, and Leo fly in on the Argo II, she can’t blame the Roman demigods for thinking the ship is a Greek weapon. With its steaming bronze dragon figurehead, Leo’s fantastical creation doesn’t appear friendly. Annabeth hopes that the sight of their praetor Jason on deck will reassure the Romans.

At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy's instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through the Gaea's forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors from both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?

What did you love best about The House of Hades?

very entertaining... I love how we got to learn more about each the heroes.

What other book might you compare The House of Hades to and why?

this book and the previous books in this series all stick together as a whole. But it kind of reminded me of the red pyramid meets Diana Jones.

What three words best describe Nick Chamian’s performance?

    not Joshua Swanson

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Bob came through for Percy at the Elevator and when Jason learned a little about nico and didn't share his secret... didn't see that coming, but thought it was written appropriately for younger readers.

    Any additional comments?

I liked Nick's enthusiasm for the characters in the story, it's not always easy switching out narrators in a series, but he gave good effort.

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester's Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. Planes crash into it and fall from the sky in flaming wreckage, a gardener's hand is severed as "the dome" comes down on it, people running errands in the neighboring town are divided from their families, and cars explode on impact. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

What did you love best about Under the Dome?

The characters really came to life, by the end of the story you felt as if you knew each one.

Who was your favorite character and why?

It's a toss up, I liked " Barbie" and Rusty. They were strong leads who were always busy protecting everyone, extremely entertaining at times and empathetic to the characters around them.

Which character – as performed by Raul Esparza – was your favorite?

Twitch was great! Raul did an excellent job keeping Twitches accent/stoner vibe, but also made it clear he was smart.

Who was the most memorable character of Under the Dome and why?

I thought all the remaining characters at the domes edge were pretty memorable. They lost family members, patients, were arrested, harassed or abused, and the ones who made it back into the "world" at the end remained strong.

What made the experience of listening to World War Z: The Complete Edition (Movie Tie-in Edition) the most enjoyable?

I found myself smiling when I'd recognize and actor portraying a character in the book, excellent cast.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I had a few characters I found interesting and entertaining, but since the book was set up as an interview, I remember more stories than character names.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it was hard to put it down.

  • A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Heaven: Or, How I Made Peace with the Paranormal and Stigmatized Zealots and Cynics in the Process

In this book, Corey Taylor undertakes something never before attempted in the history of rock superstardom: he takes you with him as he journeys undercover through various ghostbusting groups who do their best to gather information and evidence about the existence of spirits. Taylor also gives you a behind-the-scenes tour of his crazy life and the many beyond-the-grave events he's encountered. (You'll be shocked how often Slipknot has been invaded by the supernatural).

George says: "Corey Taylor is a Genius"

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Yes, not knowing what this book would have in it or who the author was I would recommend it. It's an easy read filled with random tidbits of information. Corey's performance is very conversational and the stories were filled with great illustrative detail.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

I could have done with less explicit language and ramblings about religious points of view, otherwise it was very entertaining.

Which character – as performed by Corey Taylor – was your favorite?

I liked his memories of "the mansion" and his friend "jack" and his experience with his parents.

What else would you have wanted to know about Corey Taylor’s life?

I found him funny to listen to in general... there is nothing I can think of that he didn't nod to at some point in the book.

In this sparkling tale, young merchant Abdullah purchases a magic carpet - and soon finds that the enchanted rug is none too agreeable. But despite the carpet's cranky demeanor, Abdullah must rely on its help to rescue a princess from a wicked djinn.

What made the experience of listening to Castle in the Air the most enjoyable?

The character development and performance were great. The adventure on the carpet was funny and the castle oddly familiar until you realize why.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I would have to say the Genie. For one you wonder how on earth will they ever ask a wish that could be fulfilled without disaster.

What does Jenny Sterlin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

You would catch the funny parts but now perhaps in the way you would while listening to someone. She has the ability to pull you into the character's mind and absorb you into the plot... what's coming next...

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The section of the book when they had to guess the secret name through when the Genie and carpet "changed" back into my 2 of my favorite character's from Howl's moving castle.
