What could be better than information from an ex-FBI officer who spent his time specializing in reading body language?

Don't bother with anything else on the subject of body language.

Enough said.

Great for time management, stuff management and life management. Very straightforward and to the point (as a book so titled should be!). Detailed steps for how to get from here to there.

Succeeding When You're Supposed to Fail takes a close look at people who had everything in life stacked against them, and yet somehow succeeded. By looking at not only the stories, but years of research, the book examines six characteristics these people share.

It's inspiring and life-changing.

Brafman describes these people, who can seemingly tunnel through the chaos that is their lives and come out the other end, as

We thoroughly enjoyed this story. Some of Verne's books can be tedious, but not so with this book and narrator. The narrator does an excellent job, and is consistent with all the various accents used in this book. In short, he really brings the story to life.

Someone made some disparaging comments about the music at the start of the chapters. Allow me to clarify: The background music (which plays for a minute or two) is true to the time period and geographical locations where Fogg travels (Egyptian music in Egypt, Indian music in India,...). I generally dislike dramatizations, but I found the addition of the music to simply enhance an already outstanding story - it helped me further lose myself in the story.

If you're wondering if you should get this or not, just get it. You'll be glad!
