I have several of Glenn Harrold's hypnotherapy/meditation audio books, for me, this was the most powerful I've heard. His style took a bit of getting used to at first (this is my 4th one), but glad I stayed with it. I can't deny the results from this particular one, deep physical and spiritual shifts.
An interesting view on intention from a more scientific perspective and not without useful spiritual efficacy. The Author presents findings from her research on the use of intention, participation in "Intention Experiments", and what appears to be the most effective way to utilize setting ones intention from a results oriented outlook. Not much in the way of New Age-y, what some might consider "woo woo", slant in this audio. Though I've not seen the actual data, the presentation gave me no cause to believe the results, both observed and quantifiable, would be suspect. There is an associated web site that includes some additional information which I have yet to review. Part of the presentation includes the actual steps which have seemed (again both quantified and observed) to produce the best results. Overall, probably best described as a Spirituality - Science link up type in the same vain as Dancing Wu Li Masters, though focused on intention.
Read by the Author, I found the presentation to be ok, nothing to write home about, but not irritating either. Suggest listening to the sample as some may not like the reading. For me, the information included was well worth overlooking that the reading was a tad dry.
I found this audio book to be worth the credit and the listen.
This audio is a live recording of a four and a half hour workshop. I found the majority of the Author's presentation to be both charming, humorous and witty. One negative is that there is some sort of "puzzle" diagram that is referred to during the workshop, for which there is no supplemental material (?), however, in my view this is a minor annoyance and certainly does not significantly detract from the substantive message. Loved the format whereby Alison periodically breaks the performance to review the previous 30 minutes (or so) of topic (I found this to be really helpful for processing the pearls of wisdom throughout).
For most Men, I'd venture they'll receive many A-ha's, Wow's and OMG's from the material presented, as I did. Regularly discovered myself thinking... Holy Crap, that makes SO much sense, no wonder I'd get that (fill in the blank______) response from her when I said or acted that way. I certainly have more tolerance and admiration for Womanly facets that I'd previously not understood (and what used to, at times, become exasperating... now seems more like... charming - particularly Berry Markers).
It's efficacy is not only for Men either. Alison also offers ways in which Women can understand and appreciate the quirks instinctively built into Men, and enjoy a more joyful partnership.
Overall an excellent listen, informative and well worth a credit (or purchase).
This is the second in a series of six solfeggio meditations. Each is related to a chakra, element, color and has purported healing benefits. For some reason, audible does not seem to have the one I'd found to be the best of the series (528 Hz - Solar Plexus - fire - yellow), though all are well worth the purchase price. Sacral chakra, water, orange and facilitating positive change are the aspects that are associated with this meditation recording.
Two guided meditations are present in this audio book, the first with a wake ending, the second with a sleep ending. The listener is guided across a meadow to a river (water element) where a boat awaits to take you down the river. Background sounds, music and a calming guided meditation are signature techniques in this series, as well as affirmations. Solfeggio sounds are supposed to be rooted in an ancient scale partly derived from, and used in, Gregorian chant, originating in the 8th Century, when Paulus Dioconus wrote the hymn “Ut queant laxis” in honor of John the Baptist.
All of the meditations in this series are wonderfully calming, well presented, seem to produce results and have some efficacy for their intended healing. Though I can't be certain the solfeggio scale has added to the effectiveness, meditation has been known to have benefits spiritually and science has validated there are physiological changes resulting from meditation (as seen on a brain MRI). Sound has also been shown to have physiological effects in some studies (on the genes of flowers). In any event, I have certainly noticed beneficial changes in my perceptions and spiritual/mental state from using this (and other) guided meditations, but I find this series to be top quality and regular "go to" listens.
This audio book is read by the Author, who I found to be calming, charming and passionate. At times, it may seem like she speaks a little quickly, but overall, I found her presentation to be wonderful and well delivered. The Author is an RN who has transitioned to Energy Healer - Intuitive and is clearly quite gifted.
Content in this book is quite comprehensive providing insights on quite a bit more than just guides. Insights on meditation, healing, intuition development, chakras, grounding, manifesting, releasing negative beliefs and much more are included in this audio. Along with the personal experiences and information provided there are many guided meditations, which are presented throughout, as exercises for the content which was just discussed. As indicated in the book description, this really is a comprehensive training like course. Outstanding addition to the library worth many repeat listens.
Wonderfully real (especially... if you might be an Aspie). Mr. Finch's stories are touching, humorous, sad, enlightening and heartfelt. As an Aspie myself, I found this audio to be a goldmine of insights into behaviors of those on the spectrum, and the relational challenges which accompany the syndrome. The Author relates, with moving and witty examples, just how some of the relational challenges affected his neuro-typical loved ones and acquaintances, his path to realization (with the help of his loving Wife) of how different Aspie perspectives are, and offers practices which helped him mitigate the effects. For me, helped make sense of many of my life experiences and presented some practical ways to adjust my view and actions for the benefit of loved ones. Great listen.
Listened to with an open mind, this audio is almost certain to provide some pretty significant insights for introspection. One need not even accept that the conversation is actually with God in order to receive gems of wisdom which can be useful both practically and spiritually for improving self. Parts may be hard to listen to and accept if the listener is more sectarian. I found the content and performance to be excellent, though there were times if my attention wandered, even the slightest, I'd need a rewind to grasp some of the more esoteric discussion.
A real eye opener, spirit shaker for me. Only wish I'd heard and known 20 years ago. Not all specifics are totally in alignment with my experience (and failures) but the vast majority are. Am grateful for getting it when I did. The authors description of the dynamics may be intuitively known, but are presented in a fashion that resonates and gives substance to how they are created, allowing those with inhibited awareness to see more clearly (and get it at the core).
Narrated by the Author, I found his voice and style to be a very pleasant listen. Compelling real world cases are integrated with causal analysis for seemingly irrational fears experienced by the individuals of the studies. A clear and concise system is explained (based on the Authors in-depth experience) for identifying possible past life blocks the listener may have encountered.
The guided regression (second part) initially produced no results for me on the first couple of attempts, but, then hit on the third time through. Pretty profound emotional cleansing as a result. Also, revealed possible reasons for some seemingly irrational anxiety I had experienced throughout my life, which certainly affected some close relationships. The guided regression is probably best something to undertake when meditations are a comfortable experience for the listener (and can steer the ship if necessary) but is very well guided.
