A mysterious stranger known as 'The Wolf' leaves an infant with the sisters of Santo Spirito. A tiny silver key hidden in her wrappings is the only clue to the child's identity and so begins a story as intriguing and beautiful as the city of Florence itself. Belinda Alexandra's new novel, Tuscan Rose, is set in Italy during the time of Mussolini. This richly woven tale of passion, love, longing, witchcraft and magic promises to be everything her readers love and more.

    Overall

This was my first Belinda Alexandra book & I am so very impressed I have gotten into her other titles. For me this book gives me strength, no matter what life throws at you, it is nothing the strong girl in this book & her friends are dealt don't take within their stride. A gripping tale of a young Ophan living through the horrors of being wrongly accused in the age of fascism and surviving the war through the eyes of the Florentine Italians. Your credit will not be wasted with this great story.

This is Part One of Book 1 of the A Song of Ice and Fire Series. This first volume in the hugely popular and highly acclaimed epic fantasy series A SONG OF ICE AND FIRE is unabridged and split into two parts. Now a major Sky Atlantic TV series from HBO, starring Sean Bean. Summers span decades. Winter can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun.

    Story

Started reading this and struggled to dig in initially. After hearing friends reviews jumped back in and was quickly swept up. Have thoroughly enjoyed the story development, the strategic / or lack there of moves of the lords and leaders, sadly nobility is possibly rewarded as much in this story as in the real world overall well done Mr Martin & to those who turn it aside because of its slow start give it another go & try not to think of it as just another medieval tale.

    Story
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely - some Harry Bosch stories can be a little slow. This tale was fast paced, loved the changes in scenery and the new characters. If you liked Taken I have a feeling you will like this book.

What did you like best about this story?

Racing through HK to find his daughter

Have you listened to any of Len Cariou’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Great work, the narrator told the story in such a way you that you were able to be absorbed into the story!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

absolutely - I won't mention in case of spoiling the story but book definitely left me thinking

    Any additional comments?

This is not a normal Harry Bosch title, even if you have tried one of these before & didn't love it - give Connelly another try with this book!

.Deep in the Guatemalan jungle lies the Maya Codex, an ancient document containing a terrible warning for civilisation. Archaeologist Dr. Aleta Weizman is desperately searching for the codex, but powerful forces in Washington and Rome will do anything to stop her. When CIA agent Curtis O'Connor joins Aleta in her dangerous quest, he also becomes a target. Both Weizman and O'Connor know that the earth will align with a massive black hole at the centre of the galaxy on the winter solstice, December 2012 - just as the Mayans predicted.

    Story

I would & will listen again and have recommend this story to family. Would definitely say my favourite thus far of Adrian D'Hage's would have to be Beijing Conspiracy & I do hope that we are treated to another title of this calibre. My only hesitation in giving this top marks is the hang up with the Church and the bishop abuse of kids. It made sense in Omega scroll but I now fear its detracting from the story and I have found it hard to pick up the next half of this series, Inca Prophecy, given this dark cloud that seems to hang over all titles.

Terrific story, couldn't wait to read the next book.... didn't realise the narrator changes for the forth. Edwina is an excellent narrator for this series. In this book you cringe, remember this character is a teen, but character development is strong and no one is perfect. A good listen if you have enjoyed the first two.

Its a Matthew Riley, cross with Indiana Jones, cross with Dan Brown and even though i haven't quite finished it i'm already looking for another book by this great author... stick with it through the changing time zones because written any other way i think it would be a little boring up front but then too packed with action at the end - instead this is a great story, great character development and always enjoyable as you are taken on a great journey!
