I probably would not listen to it again, because I never listen to books twice. However, I would most definitely recommend it.

It is very reminiscent of the Green Mile. Still, that did not detract me from the story.

It was not so much a particular scene that was my favorite, but my own realization of who Shay Bourne really is.

Jacky is the STAR. The girl has pluck and is very energetic.

Probably not. My friends are a bit older and this type of genre would most likely not be in their "have to read" lists.

The most interesting aspect was that knowing what Cashia actually does as a "sorter." You don't find out its relevance until closer to the end of the book. The least interesting was her interactions with Kai. For some reason, he just bored me.

I believe there is a follow-up book, as you are left wondering what happened to her love interest Kai. I can't say more in fear of spoiling the plot.

These books all based on utopian societies really hammer on the lemming effect. The fear of death and negative consequences of our actions overrides all other sensibilities. It's pretty amazing what you will endure in the name of self-preservation.

Yes! Ken Follett's World Without End and the Pillars of the Earth were excellent reads.

No. Although I did not enjoy the book, the narrator was very good. I would have stopped reading if it weren't for John Lee.

Disappointment. I was hoping for a bit more. My mind drifted often. This type of content just doesn't thrill me. The interpersonal relationships were interesting however.

There are times when I can sympathize with the main character in this book over her misunderstanding of certain words. I hear so many thinks incorrectly; however, I have always blamed in on my hearing. Anyway this was a good book. It is a bit of a love story, but not much. Mostly its about a divorcee picking up the pieces of her life and finding out what she is really about. The most annoying part of the book was the fact that she did keep misunderstanding words and phrases and I would sometimes have a very difficult time trying to figure out what the actual wording should have been. Although most of the time the reader let you know what was actually said, I struggled to reconcile the word or phrase with what she thought she heard. After a while, I just wished she omit those misunderstandings.

Overall, it was enjoyable.

This book is about "Coming to Terms". It's coming to terms about dealing with the consequences of your actions, about coming to terms with life and death, and coming to terms about the past. The main characters in this book are believable and are full of emotion. This book is sad, poignant and redeeming.

The narration was very good. There were some areas I felt he should have been a bit more dramatic when the situation required it; however, overall it was well done.

In my opinion, read the book.

Don't get me wrong. I love dogs. Hence, I downloaded this book. I did not love it though for a myriad of reasons: 1) The dog was a growler/biter. It's hard to like the bad guy in a movie or a novel, and although the dog is not a "bad guy" he is less than likable. 2) I found the narrator to be dull. 3) The story dragggged for a very long time. 4) There were too many unbelievable events that took place in the book (if you read it, you will see what I mean.) and 5) many of the characters were unbelievable.

Overall, I would not recommend listening to this novel. You are better with one by David Rosenfelt who also writes doggie genre mysteries.

I thought this book would be quite a bit better based on all the positive reviews. However, I felt it dragged, especially at the beginning. It took a long time for the author to set up the story and I kept waiting for the spying to take place. I think the narrator did a pretty good job of giving each character a different, distinct voice.

Overall, the book was adequate, but I will not be reading another of this series.

I read a couple of Andy Carpenter novels and found them highly entertaining. This was no different. David Rosenfelt's books are enjoyable and are entertaining. I think my biggest complaint was the plethora of bad guys after one lawyer. Sometimes it gets a bit unbelievable. Since I had already read some of his other books, I also had an idea of what Andy should sound like. This narrator did not fit that bill; however, he was good nonetheless.

My recommendation is if you are looking for an easy read, this book will do nicely.
