"Not nearly as enjoyable as the first two books"
I don't like the supernatural turn Lindsay took with the third installment. I always took the dark passenger as a metaphor for Dexter's other side, sort of a demented split personality. This book veers way off from that and adds some psychic stuff that belongs in a Stephen King novel. Worse of all Dexter is a total wimp through 90% of the book. Still the case Dexter and Morgan investigate is interesting and I still found myself drawn into the story. Hopefully Jeff Lindsay leaves all the supernatural stuff out of book four and gets back to what made the first two books so great.
