I enjoyed this book. It was fun to read about the romance the deep South has with it's inticing history.
I would have loved to hear more of the french/creole accents in the narrators. The point of the dislike from the mother to the son's choice in a wife was that she was creole. The accents didn't give me that.
I can't wait for this book to be picked up as a movie.
Loved the story...Not crazy about the narrator. I know this is an English story, but the narrator does NOT do male voices very well. They all sound the same and like they are all gangsters, and VERY bored. I'm disappointed.
I almost feel like I'm reading the same story over and over again. The Sullivan cousins are the same as the 1st family except without the underlying thrills, and plots that gave me a reason to finish a book in 1 night. I love Bella Andre, but I may have to put the Sullivans on the back burner and discover her other books more.
Eva Kaminsky is GREAT.
Okay story, nothing that hasn't been done before. But Eva is fabulous narrator. She can save any book.
I enjoyed this book. Wasn't sure I would, but it sizzles. Narrator wasn't bad either.
fun, romantic, easy listen, made better with this narrator. Eva makes any book a winner. I really enjoy her.
This was kinda of a let down from the first two. Good writing, but the story was the same as the first two.
Narrator did a great job.
Still good stuff from Maya
I listened to the first 3 previews...they grabbed me. So I bought the book. Not exactly what I had hoped for but a deep thought provoking novel. The narrator was good. He kept me interested in what he was reading.
Good job Jason.
I don't usually read science fiction. I was very intrigued by the first chapters. Can't wait for the rest of the book
Not a bad story. Very believeable characters. I'm sure it's happened in Texas before. Easy to get attached. BUT...the narrator's accent is HORRIBLE... I live in Beaumont! We don't sound like that! It was very distracting for me.
Maya, have you heard this? you live in Texas!!!
Not my favorite. Left me wanting more
This was wierd. It dances around homosexuality. It dances around depravity..abuse.
(I'm not saying they are the same thing)
It's almost like she couldn't decide where she was going to take her characters. I was bored. I kept thinking, alright get on with it already.
sorry..I didn't like it
