Declan Fitzgerald had always been the family maverick, but even he couldn't understand his impulse to buy a dilapidated mansion on the outskirts of New Orleans. All he knew was that ever since he saw Manet Hall, he'd been enchanted - and obsessed - with it. So when the opportunity to buy the house comes up Declan jumps at the chance to live out a dream.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I enjoyed this book. It was fun to read about the romance the deep South has with it's inticing history.

What aspect of James Daniels and Sandra Burr ’s performance would you have changed?

I would have loved to hear more of the french/creole accents in the narrators. The point of the dislike from the mother to the son's choice in a wife was that she was creole. The accents didn't give me that.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

I can't wait for this book to be picked up as a movie.

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. This book is horrible. I am so disappointed. How old is this girl they have reading this?
    She is horrible.
I'm sure the author didn't mean it to be this way but I finished this book feeling dirty.
Not interested in the other two.

    What a waste of money

sorry,... this is how I feel

Teresa “Toots” Amelia Loudenberry has her quirks, but no one - especially not her trusted friends Sophia, Ida, and Mavis - would ever question her loyalty. So it’s no surprise when Toots decides to extend her stay in Charleston to help care for her ailing housekeeper. Though the Charleston air is drenched with azalea and honeysuckle, and there’s always a pitcher of sweet tea close to hand, the ladies have little time for relaxing. Ida’s new line of cosmetics is about to launch.

What did you love best about Breaking News?

I love the godmothers. This has been one of the best series I have read. I love them better that the "sisters". Although I feel like this one was the last...(Oh, I hope not), I love the excitement. These old birds are funny, charming and just plain feisty.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Breaking News?

I just could imagine the look on the doctor's face when the spirit of Toot's late husband spoke to them. I wish this was a movie...Too funny

What does Natalie Ross bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Each character has their own style and voice. She's really great at this. I have enjoyed the books even more because of her.

If you could take any character from Breaking News out to dinner, who would it be and why?

The new doctor, of course...ha ha or maybe Toots. Maybe even together.

    Any additional comments?

I really enjoy Fern Michaels books. She is very entertaining
