"Only a Narration Review"
I didn't make it through the whole book, some other book came up and I switch over, and haven't made it back to this one. I bought this book because I recognized the narrator from another book and I have to say that I think John Lee could be one of the best Audiobook Narrators in the World. He took a book(This one) that I really wasn't all that interested in and made every second worth listening to. Thank You John Lee Thank You
"Different"
I always reserve a 5 star for fantasies such as A Song of Ice and Fire and most of the book in Wheel of Time. This was enjoyable and very different, I was hoping for something a bit more gritty and fantastic. I was tempted to move my rating up from a 3 to a 4 because I was happy that the author did something different, it wasn't the same old elemental magic, or sorcery (like Sword of Truth) The Author didn't pull Ideas out of his backside at the last minute(like Sword of Truth), but I felt robbed by the ending, and the narration was mediocre.
"Dean Koontz at his best"
I love Koontz's ability to create amazingly fun story lines. In Prodigal son he takes a great tale and puts his own twist on it. Would be five stars but I am picky and need to get through the other 2 books
