  • Love Wins: A Book About Heaven, Hell, and the Fate of Every Person Who Ever Lived

    • UNABRIDGED (3 hrs and 41 mins)
    • By Rob Bell
    • Narrated By Rob Bell
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Millions of Christians have struggled with how to reconcile God's love and God's judgment: Has God created billions of people over thousands of years only to select a few to go to heaven and everyone else to suffer forever in hell? Is this acceptable to God? How is this "good news"? Author, pastor, and innovative teacher Rob Bell presents a deeply biblical vision for rediscovering a richer, grander, truer, and more spiritually satisfying way of understanding heaven, hell, God, Jesus, salvation, and repentance.

Paula says: "Easy reading, straight forward, life changing"
    "Amazing Book"

I was a little apprehensive to listen to the book because because of the great stir it caused, and I really don't understand that. It appears that hell is a sacred doctrine of some church people, but Paul the great Apostle of the Church never mentions it once. Jesus did and Bell explains this.

If Hell is a sacred doctrine for you and you do not want it trifled with then do not read this book. But if you want to know some truth about the traditions you have been taught and want a clearer picture of who God is to clear up some misunderstandings, then get it and enjoy it. There is much freedom in knowing who God really is.

  • Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon's Near-Death Experience and Journey into the Afterlife

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 14 mins)
    • By Eben Alexander
    • Narrated By Eben Alexander
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

On November 10, 2008, Dr. Eben Alexander was driven into coma by a disease so lethal that only 1 in 10,000,000 survive. Seven days later, he awakened with memories of a fantastic odyssey deep into another realm that were more real than this earthly one - memories that included meeting a deceased birth sister he had never known existed. Dr. Alexander deployed all his knowledge as a scientist to find out whether his mind could have played a trick on him. In its shutdown state, there was no way it could have.

    Kelly says: "Compelling"
    "Outstanding. A must listen"

  • Pagan Christianity

    • UNABRIDGED (7 hrs and 53 mins)
    • By Frank Viola
    • Narrated By Lloyd James

Have you ever wondered why we Christians do what we do for church every Sunday morning? Why do we "dress up" for church? Why does the pastor preach a sermon each week? Why do we have pews, steeples, choirs, and seminaries? This volume reveals the startling truth: most of what Christians do in present-day churches is not rooted in the New Testament, but in pagan culture and rituals developed long after the death of the apostles.

Pecos says: "This will make Church Lady verrrry mad..."
"This book will connect many dots for you"

I picked this book up at a book store a few years back and immediately put it back on the shelf. As I scanned its contents, it concerned me, but to be honest I was already wondering the same things Frank writes about in the book. If you want to be challenged like never before in you faith, then buy this audio book. But if you are comfortable going to “church” every week and calling it good, then keep on moving. There are literally thousands of books for you. This is the only Christian book I have read (listened to) 3 times. It is not annoying audio like another review said. The reader does a fine job at a good pace. Frank does not bash the church, only the institutions of man. I sincerely sensed a genuine concern and love for the Bride of Christ in this book and it connected many dots as to why the church as we know it is an enterprise and weak. Be Ye Careful for this book is not for the faint of heart. I LOVED it.
