Where does Death's Angel rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Really well read. I would look for other books ready by Gildart Jackson. The book also was intreging on an archangel/vampire of death.

Governess Honoria Wetherby values her independence. She would rather travel the world than marry and give some man control of her life. Then, one stormy evening, fate changes all her plans. She stumbles upon a mortally wounded young man in the woods. When the stranger dies, she is trapped in a cabin with his body and with his newly arrived cousin, Devil, whom she soon learns is aptly named.

What made the experience of listening to Devil's Bride the most enjoyable?

Simon Prebble truely acted the parts. Very well done and pulled me in through the many hours of listening. I was up very very late because of that . He did Devil's voice just the way I would have expected to hear it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Devil and Honoria, they both were very great in showing strength and their growing relationship.

What does Simon Prebble bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The voices come to life with Simon Prebble. He also brings more excitement to the story along with emphasis on areas I had just bypassed on reading. Very riveting performance.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Strong and passionate book with a murder mystery to resolve and murder to prevent.

    Any additional comments?

After listening to Simon Prebble's audible, I found myself hunting down his other audible books. I have found that very rewarding.

Never had there been as close a bonding as the one that existed between the daring and adventurous young Lord Jaxom and his extraordinary white dragon, Ruth. Pure white and incredibly agile, Ruth was a dragon of many talents, though almost everyone on Pern thought he was a runt that would never amount to anything. But Jaxom knew better.

No, I found the narration was putting me to sleep at points.

What did you like best about this story?

The Dragon voices were done in an interesting twist

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I am use to better acted audibles. This was a so so perforamnce

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Yes.

    Any additional comments?

The book itself is 4 star for me, but the performance 3 star. Overall, I would recommend just going with text form for this book.
