Why we think it’s a great listen: How do you one-up a book that’s already a global literary phenomenon? Hire Simon Vance to (flawlessly) interpret the loves, lives, and murders of Sweden’s cold and secret-filled world. A spellbinding amalgam of murder mystery, family saga, love story, and financial intrigue. It's about the disappearance 40 years ago of Harriet Vanger, a young scion of one of the wealthiest families in Sweden.

    "The Worst Book in Audible"
    Overall

I tried, I really did - 4 hours worth and it never got any better. I've listened to all types of booksd but this one is terrible from every angle. Don't waste your money unless you need a natural Ambien sleeping pill. Awful story, awful development, awful reading. Get the idea? The worst book in Audible!

The anchor of The O'Reilly Factor recounts one of the most dramatic stories in American history—how one gunshot changed the country forever. In the spring of 1865, the bloody saga of America's Civil War finally comes to an end after a series of increasingly harrowing battles. President Abraham Lincoln's generous terms for Robert E. Lee's surrender are devised to fulfill Lincoln's dream of healing a divided nation. But one man and his band of murderous accomplices are not appeased....

Would you try another book from Bill O'Reilly and Martin Dugard and/or Bill O'Reilly?

Far too long to develop. Tedious. I know the book has won all kinds of awards, but far too laden with extraneous information.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

    Too much battle detail

Would you be willing to try another one of Bill O'Reilly’s performances?

No. I'm sick of his pedantic voice.

January 2006. In the Swedish hamlet of Hesjvallen, nineteen people have been massacred. The only clue is a red ribbon found at the scene. Judge Birgitta Roslin has particular reason to be shocked: Her grandparents, the Andrns, are among the victims, and Birgitta soon learns that an Andrn family in Nevada has also been murdered. She then discovers the 19th-century diary of an Andrn ancestora gang master on the American transcontinental railwaythat describes brutal treatment of Chinese slave workers.

Slow..... tedious ....and nothing new. A crazy guy wants to take over the world. Don't waste your credits or time. Deserves less than 1 star but that is the minimum allowed.

Al Qaeda links up with a renegade Mafia chieftain to threaten America with an unimaginable scenario of terror in a new novel featuring Tommy Carmellini - a tale of high drama and nonstop action from perennial best-selling author Stephen Coonts.

Keller possesses all the qualities of a professional killer. He's cool, confident, reclusive, icy, and ruthlessly efficient. But this seasoned hit man is also prone to self-doubt as he finds himself caught in the clutches of a mid-life crisis.

Light fare. Nothing happens. Goes from one job to another. A series of unrelated scenes. Save your money.

Devilishly clever, Next blends fact and fiction into a breathless tale of a new world where nothing is what it seems, and a set of new possibilities can open at every turn. Next challenges our sense of reality and notions of morality. Balancing the comic and bizarre with the genuinely frightening and disturbing, Next shatters our assumptions and reveals shocking new choices where we least expect.

    Overall

I like the author, but this was terrible - a cop-out rip-off. Totally bad ending. Great beginning, great plot, but then he just ran out of gas. Seemed like someone else finished it for him from about the middle on. Maybe preachy, but so what - he has his opinion. Save your money. Did I say it was terrible?
