Natalie is a young Gold Coast mother with a loving husband, two small children, and a happy lifestyle. While helping her mother move house, she finds a little box containing a Burmese artifact. When Natalie learns its unique history through a letter left by her great-great uncle, it ignites her interest in its origins and her uncle’s unfulfilled plans for this curio. Her investigations collide with her own dramatically changing circumstances and create a dilemma that challenges the core of her marriage as she finds herself immersed in two very different golden lands.

In love and war, some oaths are meant to be broken.… Riding into the arena under the furling blazon of the blue falcon, Sir Conan de Corbney accepts a token from the young beauty Lady Chandra, sparking a romance foretold long ago. That is, unless Conan’s mother can help it. Colluding with her son’s rival, Sir Tedric, Lady Udele secretly arranges a more lucrative marriage for her son and weds him to Edwina - Chandra’s older sister - while Sir Tedric claims the fiery Chandra for himself. Thus begins the star-crossed lovers’ quest, amidst treachery and betrayal, for the path back to each other’s arms.

When I saw this title by Robyn Carr I didn't think I would like the novel.
Was I mistaken. In true Robyn Carr style I was kept intrigued not wanting the book to end but at the same time excited in the anticipation of knowing how it should end and trying to work out how to get there.

Here in this peaceful community, folks look out for one another like family, though sometimes a little too well. In a town like this, it's hard to keep a secret - but Dr. June Hudson has managed to keep one heck of a humdinger…. Though visits from her secret lover, undercover DEA agent Jim Post, are as clandestine as they are passionate, somehow it fits with her demanding schedule as the town's doctor - a calling that requires an innate ability to exist on caffeine, sticky buns and nerves of steel.

Robyn Carr's delightful story of Grace Valley has kept me from all other duties wanting to know how it all pans out. Just like her Virgin River series I found myself willing things to happen that i suspected would happen but needed the detail filled in to get there. I have enjoyed listening and Therese Plummer's voice makes me feel like I'm there watching the story unfold.
