What an spectacular listening experience. This would have to be one of the best audio books I have listened to...
Great value 30hrs of listening for only 1 credit.
The narrator added another dimension to the riveting plot..beautifully written by Mccammon..
I have downloaded the next book in the series and am looking forward to another great listen.. so glad that Ballerini is again narrating.
This must be the most Dark book I have ever listened to.... I only got to chapter 10 ..and only reached that chapter as my hard drive had died and I had nothing else on my i pod to listen to .
Decidedly unimpressed and would not recommend that you purchase this book unless you are on some type of antidepressant !!
Having listened to all four books in the series I must ask the question..
WHERE IS BOOK FIVE ?
Beautifully written, every word fits into the intricate puzzle that keeps you on edge until the last paragraph.
Again, Ballerini narrates with passion, bringing the characters to life with an intensity that surpasses all others .
An easy listen with minor historical input woven into the storyline.
Touching and endearing characters which you feel you know personally by the end of the book.
I would definitely have a look at other books by this author
This was my first listen to one of Karen Walker's books and I was quite disappointed ..
The narrator, Bouvard, came across badly and her attempts at different vocals were inadequate to say the least.
I kept on waiting for the story line to take off....
Walker seemed to run out of steam towards the finish of the book and the ending was inconclusive and rather amateurish.
I will not be purchasing any more books from this author or narrator.
Yes I would recommend this audio book to a friend. This story is every parents worst nightmare. The issues raised .. re. meth amphetamine.. are an education giving real insight into the hard, nigh impossible road that anyone ..parent or addict..has to live and deal with .in this situation.
I was impressed with the overwhelming parental love that flowed throughout the story.Would that I would be able to provide the same love and understanding given the same set of circumstances. The parents raw courage was inspirational.
A Journey into Hell and Halfway Back.....
Yes I would . I found the book rather challenging and would listen again to iron out some issues that did not seem to gel in the first listening.
I would have to query the parents lack of initiative as their child's illness progressed into a life threatening situation.
The absolute honesty of the three year old in situations that could not have been manipulated or influenced by his parents or outside influences.
Heaven is for Real........????
