"Wonderful Trivia"
Yes. There's always something I hadn't heard before or forgot about. Loads of facinating trivia.
There weren't distinct characters per say. However, I do find Bill's narration a bit annoying. He sounds like he has marbles in his mouth and lisps. I love his writing, his wit, his use of words, but I'd rather he let someone else read his stories.
Many things made me laugh, however, the section about the bedroom where medical treatment of the time was discussed was somewhat nauseating - Bill seems to like the gory details.
"Thank you Audible!"
I'm soooo excited to finally have the unabridged version of Hobbit and Lord of the Rings available in this format!
"Better read than listened to"
Different narrator.
I like the story, just couldn't listen to the narrator.
Cadence bothered me and a lot of mouth noise that was unnecessary.
Disappointment
"Ripping good time!"
Yes, Gerard Doyle does a fantastic job narrating!
Saphira because she's a dragon and Angela because she comical, mysterious and more powerful than expected.
Fantastic job of acting out each character.
Several - when Saphira was young, when Eragon began to learn the discipline of the elves and when Eragon made Brisingr.
Another epic, bound to be a classic like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter. Am astonished at how such a young man could develop such an in depth world.
"A great modern day additon to the classic!"
Delightful! It may be a children's story, but adults can enjoy this too. If you're a fan of the Peter Pan stories you appreciate the occasional nod to the original. A bit of a modern feel in the pace an the intelligence of the dialog. Loved the narration by Jim Dale - he was perfect for this!
