The first victim is found in a snow-covered Philadelphia field. Detective Vito Ciccotelli enlists the aid of archaeologist Sophie Johannsen to determine exactly what lies beneath the frozen ground. Despite years of unearthing things long buried, nothing can prepare Sophie for the matrix of graves dug with chilling precision. The victims buried there haunt her. But the killer isn't done yet. He is cold and calculating, the master of a twisted game. Even with Vito and Sophie hot on his trail, he will not stop.

What disappointed you about Die for Me?

The reading was so childish and annoying, it is hard to rate the story. We don't need
every voice to be unique, reader. Remember it was written as a novel, not a play.

Would you be willing to try another book from Karen Rose? Why or why not?

Yes, if it is narrated by another reader.

Would you be willing to try another one of Tavia Gilbert’s performances?

Not unless she has had a drastic change in style.

Tensions are rising in the Middle East. Iran’s president vows to annihilate the United States and Israel. Israel’s prime minister says someone must hit Iran’s nuclear sites “before it’s too late.” The American president warns against a preemptive strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities and says negotiations are the key to finding peace. And amid it all, rumors are swirling throughout the region of a mysterious religious cleric claiming to be the Islamic messiah.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I would have liked a better recap of the story - a warning that there is a religious agenda that may not be wanted when looking for a good espionage. It became most apparent two-thirds of the way through.

Would you ever listen to anything by Joel C. Rosenberg again?

    I'd like a more factually-based historical novel.
