Some of the information in this book is insightful on a personal level. However, on a business level the stories and examples, while interesting, did not relate to the subject of habits. After the first few chapters, it appeared more like a collection of stories loosely related than a single book working toward a recommendation/conclusion/summary.
Not sure I would recommend.

To me this series is like McDonald’s, I know its complete crap inside but dang if it isn’t amazingly good. This book leaves you craving more, including the insatiable desire for more Oberon, Granuaile and fries. I love how this series tells of the most fantastic and unbelievable events or people in a sarcastic, very modern and matter of fact tone.

Trapped continues the series in the normal grand and epic way including a strange combination of elves, vampires, gods, hell and sex. I love Atticus's apprentice Granuaile and while she seems a little over done she is completely awesome. Oberon, the dog, is very entertaining but has become a little too very intelligent for me. This book also includes a lot more info about Tuatha De Danann and the dark elves (who appear and clown around a little). Luke Daniel narration is perfect and makes the whole story fun to listen to.

Unfortunately this book ends with lots of loose ends and didn’t close as tightly as previous books in the series. Because of a short introduction and the loose ends at the close, the book doesn’t stand on its own. If you’re following the series this book is a must listen otherwise start listening to the series with book one (Welcome to McDonald’s, may I take your order please?).

I disliked this book and would not recommend it to anyone. In my opinion, it seemed like a heavy handed and rough first attempt at writing an action novel. The book was extremely predicable with little character development. Every Saudi was corrupt, every government official was inept and the protagonist, Dewey Andreas, is completely unstoppable and totally unbelievable. The bad guys can kill anyone with surgical precision except of course, Dewey.

The narrator read at a slow pace with a near monotone voice using few inflections aside from speaking through clenched teeth at times.

I am stunned that I have such a different opinion than most reviewers. I enjoy this genre and am an avid fan of Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp series. For some reason, with this one I had to force myself to finish it before buying a different audio book.

The Final Empire is one of the best books I have ever listened too. I was so convinced Vin was screwing up by trusting that I almost quit listening. Kramer is a fantastic narrator-- voices, tones fluctuations and speed variations made it so convincing that I was watching these characters. The overall world, characters and magic is wonderfully created by this amazing author. Can't recommend highly enough.
