The Osteen family can inspire like no other. This book goes back as to how they became true messengers of God. It all started with Father John. Son Paul tells the story from when John was a rebellious teen all the way through his forming of megachurch Lakewood Church and beyond. This is not a history book, but a book of how to become what God intends us to be through the eyes and journeys of John Osteen. A book for anyone who loves the Lord and wants to serve to best of their ability.
I really enjoyed this book. It was like Steven and I had an afternoon alone to sit and talk about life and how to best convey it in words The story of his life is as good as his instructions on technique. Thanks Mr. King for your want to help other writers.
I'm not sure what the critics see in this book. In my opinion, the dialogue was forced and plastic and the parts where suspense was supposed to build, Mr. Crais stopped it in it's tracks by telling us what the dog was thinking. And the narrator used some fake voice trying to sound like a 40's reporter, for 8 straight hours! I'm just glad it's over. If this is the best crime writing today, I think I'll go to another genre.
I'm sorry, but, I a good ole Southern boy and having a foreigner try and teach me another foreign language just don't work. If I was going to guess from the accent, I would say the teacher is Spanish or Portuguese. First he says the English work with a thick accent and then the Hebrew word. I can't even understand what the English word is, so, knowing it in Hebrew means nothing. For me, it was a waste of time.
