"Excellent story that unfolds before your eyes"
I liked Ron Rifkin as The Giver but not as Jonas, a little too whiny at times with his voice.
The book was amazing at bringing you along for the ride, the most sad part was Jonas seeing what the 'release' was. Really good character development and would recommend to anyone. As with others, the cheesy music was really bad and sometimes made it tough to hear the story.
"Epic story, a must read"
I would definitively recommend this book to anyone, not just my friends. This book is a very well thought out, make you think, story. It creates a world just like ours and plays out what would happen if a new world was presented before us.
Very difficult, with so many people and places, I would have to say the last time Seabeck meets with Sobel. I knew what he would say, but just shows how crazy and ingenious Sobel was.
One of the best performances I have heard. He does an outstanding job and will be looking for more audio books he has read.
I wanted to...but it was just too tough, a long audio book but couldn't wait to get back to it.
This might be my favorite book of all time! I love the premise and the story was wonderfully presented to me.
"An excellent tech-triller! A must read!"
I love how this could actually happen in our world right now. The writing was top notch and flowed easily.
I'd say for the first hour it wasn't too thrilling but after that, it was non-stop and I hated having to stop listening. The weaves of stories/characters made you feel that at each turn you'd think you'd learn more but found another layer that was believable and intriguing
Pete Seabeck, nailed the gritty cop sound.
A technology thriller that won't let go
