the first four were good but i kept waiting for some things to happen ( i dont want to be a spoiler) and wow did they happen. i do like the new narrator we got in the last book i think he ads a bit more drama to books and makes them more enjoyable to listen to. i get to start the next one in the series tonight and i am looking forward to it!!

Well i loved the first 2. this one was still really good and well worth getting. i just thought it seemed to finish the series. and that is sad for such a fun and entertaining series. i will look for more from the author and the narrator who does a wonderful job.

Wow, as i said in the first review im a bid sci fi fan but really don't like post apocalyptic books. but this is just a great read/listen fun for all ages, narrator is awesome. and the story is amazing. i thought it was going to be predictable and it wasn't, new challenges, new friends and old friends making it the reason you read and stay dedicated to a series. everything i want in a book fun and entertaining and lets my imagination run with the ideas that the author puts in front of me.

Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

As big as a sic fi buf that i am, i dont like post apocalyptic books at all. but with the movie and all the hype i had to check it out. and i am glad that i did. narrator did an amazing job. the story is great. full of action, full of character development, and good solid ideas, and challenges for the character. some stuff that i thought would be predictable was not and it was outright fun and entertaining. all that i ask of a book!

Earth's desperate nations, impoverished by war damage and military spending, are slashing defense budgets. There's just one problem with this new worldwide policy - the first alien invasion was merely Plan A. Suddenly, the real assault begins: Earth is attacked by a vast armada of city-sized warships. To block their invasion, mankind has only one surviving craft and a single guerrilla strike force...a suicide squad led by Jason Wander.

THe first book was pretty good. again i dont care for books this short, how ever i like the characters, i also like the concept of the story. the narrators character voices are a little annoying. not to give away the story but its been done before and its been dont in allot of the military/sci fi stuff that i like. this one has a heros return, hero doesent like the way he is being paraded around. they are telling him to stay stuff, he wont say the stuff. but the story is still good. and still fast paced like the first book. i cant wait to get to book 3. but with books this short i run out of credits.

I normally dont buy books this short. but i was on my phone and didnt have an time. so i took this from the audible list. its was a good story i am continuing the series even thought the books are short. the narrator is decent i just dont like some of his voices. the story is pretty good but i dont feel some of the friendships and depth of the relationships that he alludes to which i blame for the book being short. but lets get to the good. the story moves along and is a good base, author does not forget how long it takes to get places and he does not overlook some technology. so yeah not a first pick but a good pick

I really didnt think i would like this one. but i took a chance and now im on book three. it gets a bit lengthy on the political parties and issues with the leas character but it comes around and your glad you listened to it, on to book 2 not a lot of repeat catch you up stuff thats so annoying with other writers. i found it over all fun and enjoyable. the narrator, does a very good job and is a great female narrator!

The first book in this series is awsome. im also a fan of Dietz legion of the damned series. how ever i felt dietz just knocked this one out for the paycheck. the enemy in this one really felt like aliens meanwhile some transporter stuff that felt like star trek. dont get me wrong this book is a good listen but it slows down from the first book and feel more like a star wars book in that it was just scripted and wrote. but i went on to the third book and it picks up and really gets going. some things i didnt like in this book were taken back up in the third and jumped my star rating on this one from 3 to 4. beliving that some things i wish were talked about were more becuase the author was told not to write about instead of ingored.

I was weiry of this title bought it strickly on reviews and that i had a 10 hour drive ahead of me and needed a book to get me through it. im a fan of military sci fi but im often turned off by the endless model numbers and specs some authors like to give. i would compare this to star wars books but better. they build up the characters in a way that you like them and stay interested in the development and take through a story that makes it so you can wait for the next book.
