To save the lives of her friends, Rachel did the unthinkable: she willingly trafficked in forbidden demon magic. And now her sins are coming home to haunt her. As Rachel searches for the truth behind a terrifying murder, an even greater menace threatens, for the demon Algaliarept will stop at nothing to claim her, and the discovery of a shocking family secret throws Rachel's entire life into question.

    "Horrible Narration"
    Overall

I adore Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series but a new narrator was used for this book. She is NOT as good as Marguerite Gavin by any stretch of the imagination- the mispronunciations are horrible. The writing is excellent, as always, but the narration is truly awful.

With her knack for being in trouble's way, Sookie witnesses the firebombing of Merlotte's, the bar where she works. Since Sam Merlotte is now known to be two-natured, suspicion falls immediately on the anti-shifters in the area. Sookie suspects otherwise, but her attention is divided when she realizes that her lover, Eric Northman, and his "child", Pam, are plotting to kill the vampire who is now their master. Gradually, Sookie is drawn into the plot - which is much more complicated than she knows.

Excellent. I'm glad that Ms. Harris went back to the Sookie of old, and I thoroughly enjoyed "Dead Reckoning."

I like Moe as much as Jane- and that's saying something. Keep writing, Molly! Amanda Ronconi is the perfect "voice" for this book, her range is awesome.

Maybe it was the Shenanigans gift certificate that put her over the edge. When children's librarian and self-professed nice girl Jane Jameson is fired by her beastly boss and handed $25 in potato skins instead of a severance check, she goes on a bender that's sure to become Half Moon Hollow legend. On her way home, she's mistaken for a deer, shot, and left for dead.

I really enjoyed this book. It's funny, witty, and sarcastic.

The power of this book is amazing, dark but not depressing and absolutely wonderfully written. I don't understand the complaints regarding the ending... it begins the next level of dogs. This book is a must read.

Ennis del Mar and Jack Twist, two ranch hands, come together when they're working as sheepherder and camp tender one summer on a range above the tree line. At first, sharing an isolated tent, the attraction is casual, inevitable, but something deeper catches them that summer.

One evening in 1951, an itinerant storyteller arrives unannounced at a house in the Irish countryside. In exchange for a bed and a warm meal, he invites his hosts and their neighbors to join him by the wintry fireside, and begins to tell formative stories of Ireland's history. Ronan, a 9-year-old boy, grows so entranced by the storytelling that, when the old man leaves abruptly under mysterious circumstances, the boy devotes himself to finding him again.

I usually avoid historical fiction, but this book was done very well.
