Daughter of a cold, controlling mother and an anonymous donor, studious, obedient Elizabeth finally let loose one night, drinking too much at a nightclub and allowing a strange man’s seductive Russian accent to lure her to a house on Lake Shore Drive. The events that followed changed her life forever. Twelve years later, the woman now known as Abigail Lowery lives alone on the outskirts of a small town in the Ozarks. A freelance programmer, she works at home designing sophisticated security systems.

Where does The Witness rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I was a little unsure I would like this book for the first few minutes of the audio. I wasn't crazy about the tone of the narrator or the story but when things got started it really moved. I was glad I finished it to the end and I will be giving another Nora Roberts book a try. The books I really enjoy I usually give a second or third listen to months later. I will be listening to this again in a few months.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the lead character and the technical aspects of the book.

Lou Winter is a lonely woman who no longer realises she's being taken advantage of - whether by her mother or unfaithful husband Phil. Then one day she spots a magazine article on clearing clutter. What begins as an earnest spring-clean soon spirals out of control. The more Lou lets go of, the more light can get to those painful places at the centre of her heart.

If you could sum up A Spring Affair in three words, what would they be?

This was a great listen from beginning to end and well worth the purchase. I enjoyed the narration and was able to picture each person in my mind. I highly recommend this book.

If you could sum up The Birds and the Bees in three words, what would they be?

I truly enjoyed the performance by Becky Hindley. The story was lite and funny. It's a quick listen but I thoroughly enjoyed it.

What does Becky Hindley bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved the english and scottish accent. There is no way I would have been able to imagine that dialect in my mind as I read.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The grass may look greener on the other side but watch out, it could be astroturf.

Where does It rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I READ this book way back when it first came out and though it was over 25 years ago I still remembered that I loved it. I needed a long book so I decided to listen to it. I absolutely love the narration. Steven does a fabulous job. I couldn't wait to put on my headphones on each day. Worth every penny or credit you use to purchase.

What about Steven Weber’s performance did you like?

I loved how he was able to bring life to the words. When "It" came out my heart started racing as if I was in the book.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to this every chance that I got. If I had 34 hours to spare all in one sitting I would have definately listened to it in one sitting. This is a great book if you have a long drive or flight or your stuck in bed for medical reasons.

A teen idol at 15, an international icon and founder of the Brat Pack at 20, and one of Hollywood's top stars to this day, Rob Lowe chronicles his experiences. Never mean-spirited or salacious, Lowe delivers unexpected glimpses into his successes, disappointments, relationships, and one-of-a-kind encounters with people who shaped our world over the last 25 years. These stories are as entertaining as they are unforgettable.

I purchased this book because of the reviews and they were all correct. This is a smart book. I really enjoyed his style of writing. I didn't get the feeling that this book was written to be a "tell all" of hollywood but to tell the story of how Rob Lowe became the Rob Lowe of today. I actually found myself using some of his advice to his younger self for my 14 year old son, "Don't worry, it will all work out. When it's time for you to have a girlfriend she will show up." If you grew up in the Brat Pack era, like I did, you will find it interesting to hear some of the stories about the movies of those times. Oh, and I loved Rob's voice as the narrator, very pleasant.
