"Consistently Good"
If you are tired of hearing the same US political news day in and day out, then this is the news show for you. They cover many interesting topics in more depth than you get on the 15s sound bite news you get on TV. I have to give them credit--they try to be balanced although in unguarded moments their liberal tendencies show through.
The only thing to prepare for is the music theme throughout the program. It is all right between pieces as filler, but the longer segment at the end of every show can grate on ones nerves--no offense to the sea pod rattlers and the aboriginal Didjeridu players. To give the benefit of a doubt to the producers--it must be incredibly difficult to come up with a different music type day after day. My question--Why not skip it once in a while?
"Very Good"
From the first time I heard it, I have been hooked on this show. It is well done and the moderator is sympathetic and easy to listen to. Very interesting show that I listen to regularly.
I must say, however, that in my mind it is wrongly titled. It should be titled Speaking of Religion. Faith in the sense of believing what God has said in the Bible is lacking from most of these shows. And this leads to the second point--I recommend all those who have a Bible based faith to listen to this show--you will quickly appreciate how valuable it is to have built your faith on the solid foundation of the Bible, and which allows you to escape much of the silliness that calls itself faith in the world today.
"Excellent, Interesting Context"
This has been one of my most favorite Audible fictional titles. Who of us hasn't woken up sometime wondering--How did I get here? What am I doing? One decision 20-30-40 years ago from some dumb teenager who didn't have a clue---and here I am. I know some call it mid-life crisis.
This was interesting, thought-provoking, while remaining entertaining and a good read. Perhaps not quite as good as Saint Maybe but a close second.
For those who have started this book keep listening--the old man's comments near the end are worth the whole jouney in themselves!
"Very Good"
This is one of the rare audio books that kept my interest from beginning to end. I usually limit my listening to my long car trips, but with this one I even had to listen at home.
It was interesting historically while remaining a good and entertaining story.
I recommend this title.
"Horrible"
Nothing but a lot of liberal hot air. Just repeats all those ideas that have been disproven since the 80's. Move on Moore. Most of the rest of us have.
"Bad News"
After reading some of the reviews, I had high hopes for this audible book. But I could only make it through the first half. If you are conservative minded you will hate the book. If you are liberal you may like it if you like to hear all the old liberal platitudes, preconceived notions, misconceptions, errors, erroneous sayings, false conclusions--repeated ad nauseam.....The dialogue is also poorly written and grates on the nerves.
"Dude, Where's My Country? (Unabridged)"
This is one of the dumbest books ever written!!!!
Moore's observations and conclusions are absurd.
