"A Complicated Life"
Pete Townshend narrates his autobiography, giving increased poignancy to his fascinating and complicated story. As he balanced his acute intelligence with his manic stage presence, he embodied the essence of The Who. Never shy about revealing his many inner demons, his honesty and daring make this a very satisfying listen.
"Amazingly Dull"
This is an amazingly dull account of very dynamic events. No doubt the author is a disciplined, brave and accomplished soldier. Unfortunately he is also very shallow and has no world view nor literary talent. Read Manhunt by Peter Bergen instead.
