Like every story starring DEXTER the DARK Knight, Lindsay has again put Dexter in new and exciting macabre situations. I love the fact that Dexter has
Rita the Righteous appears out of NOWHERE...
This is the only drawback...a personal problem I HAVE...I love to listen to Scott B or Will P...but Nick L does a good job.
I wouldn't change the title in any way.
I have read the first 4 books and have loved each one. I am presently reading Dexter is Delicious, the 5th book, about 1/2 way through it and am still trying to figure out how Debra is going to finally realize what Dexter really is...Is the TV show going to drive a 6th book? Or is it the other way around? Lindsay??????
I have loved the Dexter series and was expecting Dexter to go out with a BIG BANG. I have to believe we haven't seen the end of Dexter....Dexter will begin the Dexter Code for Cody and Aster. What a great new direction for a new series to move. How about it?
Unconventional Mystery Heroine
If you are looking for female lead characters, Ladies Detective Agency is the closest I have read myself, and the LDA is not near as engrossing.
Excellent presentation. Vance keeps the reader engaged thru his voice inflections and ability to help the reader maintain a grasp of the many character's names and their part in the 3 stories through his many characters vocal nuances.
The 1st has already been released and was done very well, the scriptwriters and director kept very close to the novel. I can't wait to see the following movie/movies. Almost every of my friends and acquaintances that have seen the 1st movie had great things to say about the movie and story in general.
If you haven't already seen the movie, read/listen to the 1st book before you see it. (I suggest you read/listen to all 3 books before you see the movie). If you have already seen the 1st movie, read/listen to the 1st book anyway, you always get more out of a story vs. a movie. I only listen to books for pleasure instead of reading for pleasure so if your a reader, get the books and enjoy! If you are a listener, thanks Audible for bringing the books to us in such a timely manner!
I would recommend the WHOLE series!
The realization of who exactly is in the Red Car!
Cody...I love the fact that his Shadow Man has made his debut!
Absolutely I wanted to...although it took 2 sittings to get through it.
AHAH!!!! Daddy Dexter has competition! A character from the PAST! Thank god there IS a 6th book...it's my NEXT read!!!! What about a 7th book?? Or is the 6th book going to be the Demise of Dexter?? I can't wait to listen!!!
Never seen...or heard...a book/magazine that actually gave good info on how to truly help with the physical acts that help to having good/better sex.
Everything You Were Too Afraid to Ask your Lover
I have been married for the last 27 years and have had a great sex life...but jsut listening reminded me that gettting into a rut can ruin a great sexual relationship...SO DON'T get into a RUT...I'm having better sex than I have in the last 5 or 6 years jsut because I listened to this book! Try something you haven't done in awhile..or have never tried...I bet your better half is thinking the same thing!
Deaver has provided another fantastic listen as he draws the listen into the macabre story of treachery and deceit...with a few dysfunctionalities of family's issues thrown in for good measure...some things jsut aren't what they seem...and the question of "whodunnit" looks like many characters could be the real culprit... Great listen and is even better when you have the time to listen in large chunks of time...smaller chunks of time will make you want to go back to review before you move forward.
For you lovers of cruelty...don't forget to read LEGION
What a wonderful prequel to a Time to Kill.....Grisham has finally written a book that is up to par with Time and The Firm. If you don't know either of these 2 Grisham novels, take time to listen to Time before you listen to Juror and then by all means read The Firm. Grisham fans will not be disappointed in The Last Juror!
It's always unfortunate when someone tries to abridge a story considering the artist would have shortened the story if he/she had had less to say than what the unabridged story tells. Alas our society is the culprit.....fast and dirty....no matter much is lost in the abridgement. If that's how you feel, DON'T BOTHER LISTENING. I rarely listen to abridgements and this one has reminded why that is so. This one has destroyed what was a great story, I remeber reading it years ago and couldn't set it down, this abridgement made me turn it off!
