Mackenzie Allen Philips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later in the midst of his Great Sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare.

What disappointed you about The Shack?

I should have read the reviews rather than just seeing how many stars it averaged. I am new to Audible and have learned my lesson. I expected a thriller, instead I am hearing ramblings about the authors theory of who or what God is. I am not interested, and very disappointed.

Jenna Miscavige Hill, niece of Church of Scientology leader David Miscavige, was raised as a Scientologist but left the controversial religion in 2005. In Beyond Belief, she shares her true story of life inside the upper ranks of the sect, details her experiences as a member Sea Org - the church's highest ministry - speaks of her "disconnection" from family outside of the organization, and tells the story of her ultimate escape.

I am very glad I bought this, sure gives you an insight into Scientology which I think the general population has no idea of. It is very different for those that are "public" Scientologiests like the celebrities - although celebrities are treated VERY special, and then it is like a cult for those that live within in it.

One of the most popular suspense novels of all time. A well-dressed man stalks the high-class neighborhoods of New York City. He is armed with an ice axe. His victims are strangers. And one cop, Captain Ed Delaney must solve a series of bizarre, gruesome murders that defy logic or method. This shocking story has captured the imaginations of millions like no other modern thriller.

I tried to get into this book, it got such great reviews, but after four hours and still no idea where the plot was heading... I knew more about the book by reading the summarry on audible. So I decided to give up. I am particularly sorry as I bought the Second Deadly sin as well. I agree with some of the reviewers how the book being dated may have not helped in my enjoyment as they were trying to make the main character as a sexual pervert of some type because he wanted to have sex with sunglasses on or masks. Nowadays, that would be nothing.

Just days before a massive exhibition opens at the popular New York Museum of Natural History, visitors are being savagely murdered in the museum's dark hallways and secret rooms. Autopsies indicate that the killer cannot be human. But the museum's directors plan to go ahead with a big bash to celebrate the new exhibition, in spite of the murders. Museum researcher Margo Green must find out who - or what - is doing the killing.

I could not get into this story, I suppose if you are interested in hearing about the disection of a human that has been grisly murdered or the narrator droning on and on about some crate that has travelled over the years and the murders that follow it then this would be the book for you. I prefer more character development, maybe some humour, which this book certainly did not have, and more fast paced than this was. Halfway through and I gave up.

The killer turned out to be a big surprise, but otherwise the store was pretty average. Average characters, easy to put down, easy to listen to , did not love it but lately I have found so many I can't even listen to that this one at lease was a keeper. It does get interesting right from the beginning which is a plus for me.

I could not put it down. The characters were very well developed, the story very believable, it probably happened, it led me to looking up pictures and stories of the camp the woman was in. Having had family killed in the holocaust myself, I had to stop doing that though. It is way too upsetting, but this was a beautiful story.

I listened to the first book in the series, thought it was light and fun, so I got the second, enjoyed it half way through and bought three and four, by the time I was on the second half of the second book I was soooo bored, almost done the third one (and listening as background noise by now) I am sorry I rushed to buy the fourth. Here we are, Abby and Dutch have known eachother for how long? and they still have not had sex. Absurd, and everywhere she turns she finds trouble. This is beyond boring, I recommend you use your credits elsewhere.

I loved the first two, so bought all six, that was a mistake, basically the story is not much of a story. The plot for each book could be told in 3 hours instead of 15 hours. It goes on and on about stuff that does not even matter to the story.

I first stumbled across Love you More, I didn't realize it was a series. I like it so much I bought another of hers, the last one - Catch me, then I realized it was a serious, and went and downloaded the first four, I have listened to two, and am loving every moment of them. It is not typical of me to listen to the same author for four books in a row and still going, but these are great, you would not be sorry, always an unexpected twist in the end.
