The world had become used to the metahumans - people sometimes perfectly ordinary, but sometimes quite extraordinary in appearance - who mostly worked with their governments as high-powered peace officers, fighting crime, and sometimes fighting rogue metahumans who had become super-criminals. Then that comfortable world ended in just one terrifying day.

What did you like best about Invasion? What did you like least?

    Action and suspense

Would you ever listen to anything by the authors again?

    NO

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Terrible narration, feminine voice for a male made me want to toss my food up in many parts. Just ruined this book for me. My opinion Audible should have hired a more masculine narrator for a book like this. Just awful and I will never get any books with this narrator, never!

Did Invasion inspire you to do anything?

    NO

    Any additional comments?

Horrid narration ruined the book for me

Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the ten consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Absolutely, excited to share with others just to hear what they think after they've read or listened to it.

What other book might you compare The Way of Kings to and why?

    WoT Series.....just because :-)

Have you listened to any of Kate Reading and Michael Kramer ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Michael and Kate team up, I'm there! Great, superb, skilled, passionate narrators.....the best in their business.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Escape to an Epic Fantasy World and Stay

    Any additional comments?

Wonderfully well written (read), exceptionally narrated and a perfect length to help one escape the hectic world in which we live. One of the most engrossing authors I have ever encountered in the thousands of audio books I have listened to. Two thumbs and two big toes up for this series :-)

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Enjoyed the storyline, the characters, the details and especially its length! Being an over the road trucker to me the longer the better BUT it seemed I flew through this great book because it was thoroughly engrossing, well written and narrated.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Red Sparrow?

The first few chapters I knew I was hooked.

What about Jeremy Bobb’s performance did you like?

He did an excellent job not one complaint. Thank you Jeremy, you did a superb job!

Highly recommend this excellent novel and I cannot wait for the next book to come out by this author

The 50 contestants in the Miss Teen Dream pageant thought this was going to be a fun trip to the beach, where they could parade in their state-appropriate costumes and compete in front of the cameras. But sadly, their airplane had another idea, crashing on a desert island and leaving the survivors stranded with little food, little water, and practically no eyeliner. What’s a beauty queen to do? Continue to practice for the talent portion of the program - or wrestle snakes to the ground? Get a perfect tan - or learn to run wild? And what should happen when the sexy pirates show up?

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I'm a man and didn't get this story so maybe a woman would find it more enjoyable

What was most disappointing about Libba Bray’s story?

The fact that a good portion of this book was to try and coerce the reader into accepting homosexual behavior as something we should all accept. It's fine, but I don't accept it therefore once the story started aiming in that direction I simply ended listening.

What about Libba Bray’s performance did you like?

Her voice was terribly loud high pitched to me, I often had to turn the volume down when she switched to some of the "many" different characters voices. She did pretty good considering she knew how to portray each character the way she knew how they should sound.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    None to me sorry

    Any additional comments?

I'm sure there will be plenty of people who will laugh at this story, but to me it wasn't about a story rather a push to get people to accept the authors beliefs about how people should be in her perspective. No thank you

Would you consider the audio edition of The Fellowship of the Ring to be better than the print version?

    Yes indeed!

What does Rob Inglis bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Excellent narration of an extremely intricate book. The singing is quite good and must have been very difficult to perform for the various characters and there are many!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Probably not, story is sub-par entertainment. Surreal and un-realistic plot. Slightly exciting, but narration was terrible.

What could Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

The story was fair and probably would have been best if a narrator like Scott Brick or Dick Hill read this story.

Would you be willing to try another one of David Colacci’s performances?

NO (not for this type of story anyway)

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    Possibly

    Any additional comments?

Just terrible narration. Sound quality of voice is echoey and high pitched. Sound effects were horribly annoying and I had to turn down the sound many times because of this annoyance. The story was fair and probably would have been best if a narrator like Scott Brick or Dick Hill read this story.
