I enjoyed the Lonesome Dove serious, but this book is a terrible way to end the series if it actually ever ends. This book was written with no plot in mind and was obviously done while the writer was on the toilet. Book is painfully over-detailed with parts making you want to fast forward to find a happy moment, but no happy endings, no bright futures for the characters and no sense of realism of pioneering America. Full of evil winning every moment just awful. I am thoroughly disgusted with the reader who was monotone like reading from a childsbook. Sad, depressing, morbid and boring....buyers beware.
Excellent narration of an extremely intricate book. The singing is quite good and must have been very difficult to perform for the various characters and there are many!
Probably not, story is sub-par entertainment. Surreal and un-realistic plot. Slightly exciting, but narration was terrible.
The story was fair and probably would have been best if a narrator like Scott Brick or Dick Hill read this story.
NO (not for this type of story anyway)
Just terrible narration. Sound quality of voice is echoey and high pitched. Sound effects were horribly annoying and I had to turn down the sound many times because of this annoyance. The story was fair and probably would have been best if a narrator like Scott Brick or Dick Hill read this story.
Action and suspense
Terrible narration, feminine voice for a male made me want to toss my food up in many parts. Just ruined this book for me. My opinion Audible should have hired a more masculine narrator for a book like this. Just awful and I will never get any books with this narrator, never!
Horrid narration ruined the book for me
Can't wait for the other books in this series is put out by Audible, please hurry up :)
Yes, because it's full of excitement and wonderful hidden messages that if one has read the Holy Bible can see the similarities. An excellent book from beginning to end plus very well read aloud.
Highly recommend this book for all ages
Wishing was me
The entire book
A beautiful historical escape into the past and wishing it were the present.
I enjoyed this book, pretty good story line and entertaining.
The mystery and momentum throughout the entire story kept me on the edge of my seat while driving. Of course Dick Hill is superb in his narrations as always.
Not sure, the book is all over the place and is written badly. Unbelievable plot, story line and suspense is teeth "gnashingly" painful.
Sure would, but only his oldest works.
Of course, he does a superb job with all the material he is given to read.
None for me and I have listened to thousands of books in last 20 years.
Makes you wish your trip home or to work was not over....truly exceptional in all ways. Great narration, superb story line by an excellent writer. Well worth the credit.
Great book, excellent narration and very well written. Pass miles like a roller coaster ride.
