The Pandion Knight Sparhawk had bested the massed forces of the God Cyrgon upon the field of battle, victory turned to ashes when the foul God's minions kidnapped Sparhawk's wife, the beautiful Queen Ehlana. Sparhawk must surrender Bhelliom, the awesome jewel of power - or Ehlana would die.But Sparhawk fought on, and none of his companions flinched from the awesome struggle, though each must vanquish forces of evil from Tamuli's dark past.

Cliff says: "A good conclusion to the series."
    "Great story"
    Overall

The only reason I rate this 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because the narration of the book sucks . The voices of the characters sound so similar its hard to tell who supposed to be speaking and ,the ones that do sound different have accents that don't come close to being part of the storyline scene.
The story itself is great.I recommend this audio book to anyone .Just realize if you are used to a much better quality narration ,the story does suffer from it.

Tavi of Calderon, now recognized as Princeps Gaius Octavian and heir to the crown, has achieved a fragile alliance with Alera's oldest foes, the savage Canim. But when Tavi and his legions guide the Canim safely to their lands, his worst fears are realized. The dreaded Vord - the enemy of Aleran and Cane alike - have spent the last three years laying waste to the Canim homeland. And when the Alerans are cut off from their ships, they find themselves with no choice but to fight shoulder to shoulder if they are to survive.

Christopher says: "Great Book. Fantastic Narrator. Engrossing Series."
    "Can't get enough"
    Overall

This story arc is fantastic. I enjoyed every second of it .And Kate Reading ,being one of the all time great narrators that she is, makes the story that much more enjoyable.
