Journalist, presenter, broadcaster, husband, father, vigorous all-rounder – Alan Partridge – a man with a fascinating past and an amazing future. Gregarious and popular, yet Alan’s never happier than when relaxing in his own five-bedroom, south-built house with three acres of land and access to a private stream. But who is this mysterious enigma? Alan Gordon Partridge is the best – and best-loved – radio presenter in the region. Born into a changing world of rationing, Teddy Boys, apes in space and the launch of ITV, Alan’s broadcasting career began as chief DJ of Radio Smile....

“Are you there, Satan? It’s me, Madison,” declares the whip-tongued 13-year-old narrator of Damned, Chuck Palahniuk’s subversive new work of fiction. The daughter of a narcissistic film star and a billionaire, Madison is abandoned at her Swiss boarding school over Christmas, while her parents are off touting their new projects and adopting more orphans. She dies over the holiday of a marijuana overdose—and the next thing she knows, she’s in Hell.

William says: "As a new Chuck Palahniuk reader, I liked it a lot!"

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

A teenage girl might enjoy this, one that giggles at the use of swear words, until she gets to the bit with the giant being pleasured....

Would you ever listen to anything by Chuck Palahniuk again?

I'll give Chuck a go again, I really enjoyed Choke, Survivor and Haunted. Not done Fight Club yet so just maybe???

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Tia reads this very well and really gets into character, albeit a moaning, bitter teenage girl!
