"Still good story"
This was a good follow-on from "Bitten", I preferred the Narrator from Bitten, the new narrator reminds me of one of the "Golden Girls", I think it was "Bea", the blond ditsy one. Anyhoo, I enjoyed being able to continue along with characters I got to like in the last book, I enjoyed "Elena" becoming more accepting of herself, and her relationship with Clay had obviously grown and had become happier. The story was good, but I would have enjoyed more interaction between Elena and Clay, then again just more of Clay - LOL. I would have liked Elana's time in captivity to be a bit shorter and her time plotting her revenge with Clay a bit longer, but that's just my two cents worth. Author has introduced lots of new and interesting characters and this is obviously where she decided to extend her story into a series.
"Good Fun"
I NEED every Katie Macalister book every written on Audio, narrated by Barbara Rosenblat Please : )
"Good Story, Good Narrator"
I really liked this book, an interesting take on werewolf theme, and a different type of romantic relationship. I enjoyed the dynamic between Elena and Clay, both not perfect, but that made the relationship more interesting. I enjoyed the descriptions of Elena's experience in wolf form. I also like the narrators voice, and enjoyed listening to her, which is important.
"not what I expected"
This story was not what I suspected it to be, and there was no indication of what I was getting into from the blurb, so in one way I felt a little tricked into being pulled into a story addressing issues far more serious than I was looking for.
It didn't take long before I started to suspect, what was simmering beneath the surface of the main character, but by half way through I needed to see Elle overcome her past. It was a good book, but I was looking for sexy romantic/erotic escapism, but got sucked into the "overcoming child-hood trauma and/or neglect" story which I purposely stopped reading years ago (now I think about it - around the time I became a parent myself).
The narration was good, but male voices were not great, it didn't spoil the experience but there are some female narrators who do great male voices (I'm yet to hear a male narrator who can go a great female voice LOL).
"Dull"
Sorry, I dont usually bother giving a bad review, but this one is good if you are suffering insomnia. No endearing characters, the only character I found likeable had a very small part of the story, nothing really happened, If I were reading this book rather than listening, I would have put it down with a yawn and probably forgotten about it.
