New York Times best-selling author Laurie R. King enjoys immense popularity and a resounding chorus of critical acclaim for her exquisite mysteries. The God of the Hive continues the thread King began in The Language of Bees, in which Mary Russell and her famous husband, Sherlock Holmes, face trouble with Scotland Yard and the deadliest of adversaries.

Lots of twists and turns in this story. Enjoyed all the different characters. Plenty of room to follow with another thread in this story.

good but got a little tired of Triss always being shot, punched, and concussed. She really would have been dead long ago. Narrator was not as good, keeping the voices of the different characters distinct.

New York Times best-selling author Laurie R. King has won sweeping critical acclaim and an impressive collection of awards for her writing. Although other writers have tried, no one has matched King's ability to capture the allure of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's legendary sleuth, Sherlock Holmes.

With indifferent parents, Iona Sheehan grew up craving devotion and acceptance. From her maternal grandmother, she learned where to find both: a land of lush forests, dazzling lakes, and centuries-old legends. Ireland. County Mayo, to be exact. Where her ancestors’ blood and magic have flowed through generations - and where her destiny awaits.

The narration was awful, too much yelling and drama. Could not listen to the story line the narration was so distracting. The story never went anywhere, knew the whole story from the first chapter.

New York Times best-selling author Diana Gabaldon enchanted scores of fans with Outlander, her electrifying historical saga set in 18th-century Scotland. Now this sequel sweeps listeners back into the past as Claire relates more of her perilous sojourn there with her Scottish warrior husband, James Fraser. Twenty years after her strange journey back in time, Claire has returned to Scotland with her daughter, determined to share with her the secret she has harbored since her time travel.

There’s no place like home, especially if it’s Serenity, South Carolina. For Annie Sullivan, though, the homecoming is bittersweet. She’d always envisioned a life there with her childhood best friend, Tyler Townsend. But Ty’s betrayal has cost her the family and the future they’d once planned.

    Story
Would you try another book from Sherryl Woods and/or Mary Robinette Kowal?

No I would not buy another book.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I found the characters unappealing every time things got resolved the female character was upset again, what kind of relationship do they have, no trust at all.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Mary Robinette Kowal?

Anyone else! She does not have the ability to change voices for the different characters. It was difficult to tell, at times, who was talking. This is critical in an audio book!!

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I was disappointed, just a stupid story.
