If you could sum up Speaks the Nightbird in three words, what would they be?

I found the beginning didn't catch my interest, more than once I wondered if I would put it aside and start another audiobook. Then the story segments began to weave together, the main characters began to emerge, the story twists captured my curiosity; to where I didn't want to miss a minute. I'm looking forward to the series.

What does Edoardo Ballerini bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Very skilled narrator, character voices well matched to their description.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Early America in all the raw drama of a hinterland where the threads of legal and social justice have barely taken hold. Something like that...
