Stephen Leeds, AKA 'Legion,' is a man whose unique mental condition allows him to generate a multitude of personae: hallucinatory entities with a wide variety of personal characteristics and a vast array of highly specialized skills. As the story begins, Leeds and his 'aspects' are drawn into the search for the missing Balubal Razon, inventor of a camera whose astonishing properties could alter our understanding of human history and change the very structure of society.

This is a great little story about an individual with multiple personalities that jointly interact to help him solve a particularly-interesting mystery. It is a great, imaginative premise! I enjoyed Brandon Sanderson's writing and the always-excellent narration by Oliver Wyman. Yes, this book was free, but it would be a worthy read in any case.

  • Legacy of Ashes: The History of the CIA

This is the book the CIA does not want you to read. For the last 60 years, the CIA has maintained a formidable reputation in spite of its terrible record, never disclosing its blunders to the American public. It spun its own truth to the nation while reality lay buried in classified archives. Now, Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter Tim Weiner offers a stunning indictment of the CIA, a deeply flawed organization that has never deserved America's confidence.

If you are at all a student of history then you will find this book to be an outstanding, and detailed, recount of the CIA and its activities since WWII. This is important history for any American to understand how and why we are viewed the way we are in the world.

Pocket has been Lear's cherished fool for years. So naturally Pocket is at his brainless, elderly liege's side when Lear demands that his kids swear to him their undying love and devotion. Of course Goneril and Regan are only too happy to brownnose Dad. But Cordelia believes that her father's request is kind of...well...stupid, and her blunt honesty ends up costing her her rightful share of the kingdom and earns her a banishment to boot.

    Story

Based on other reviews this is apparently a selection you will either love or hate. I loved it. The reader does an outstanding job in acting the characters involved, and the story retains a reasonably fast, interesting pace. I plan to listen to other Christopher Moore selections in the future.

You must be aware that it is not at all suited for children, and that if promiscuous use of the F word (in new in exciting ways) bothers you then it is likely not for you either ;-).
