A Signature Performance: Tim Curry rescues Charles Dickens from the jaws of Disney with his one-of-a-kind performance of the treasured classic. Our listeners loved this version so much that it inspired our whole line of Signature Classics.

There is no better way to get into the Christmas Spirit than A Christmas Carol, listening to Dicken's original novel is so much better than many of the screen adaptations. His descriptions delight and Tim Curry's reading is wonderful.I am so happy that I purchased this and have already recommended it to family and friends! I will listen every year or whenever I need to remember what is most important in life!

The year is 1703. The place: The Carolina settlement of Charles Town. Matthew Corbett, professional 'problem solver,' has accepted a lucrative, if unusual, commission: Escorting a beautiful woman to a fancy dress ball. What should be a pleasant assignment takes a darker turn when Matthew becomes involved in a murder investigation.

As other listeners have already reported if you love this series you will be very annoyed with the way this book stops abruptly in the middle of the story. Its half the length of his other books and literally stops right in the middle of the episode. I cannot understand why the author did this, since he has a loyal following, unless there was some deadline he had to meet for his publisher.Still, the series is fun to listen to and Edoardo Ballerini could read the dictionary to me he is so amazing! Now I must anxiously await book 6 and hope that we dont get shortchanged again!

A nine-year-old boy is found murdered at the bottom of a well near a popular beach resort in southern Italy. In what looks like a hopeless case for Guido Guerrieri, a Senegalese peddler is accused of the crime. Faced with small-town racism, Guido attempts to exploit the esoteric workings of the Italian courts. The voice of Sean Barrett brings this gritty Italian detective series to life.

I believe that very often books lose something in translation - to me this occurred with this book. It never really grabbed me - I didn't like the main character and couldn't relate to him. The narration was dull and boring with very little intonation sounded like Colin firth - if it was he should stick to theatre. I wouldn't waste my points on this book

In this wise, witty, hilarious new novel, we follow the Kettle sisters through their 33rd year, as they struggle to survive their divorced parents' dating each other, their technologically savvy grandmother, a cheating husband, champagne hangovers, and the fabulous, frustrating life of forever being part of a threesome.

As a big fan of Liane Moriarty I was so disappointed in this book. It was clearly one of her earlier works and it does not come close to her standards. Steer clear away from this one. After one hour of trying to follow the story I had to stop listening. I think this is one of the few times I will ask to return this book

Moments after Lisbeth is born, she’s taken from her mother and handed over to an enslaved wet nurse, Mattie, a young mother separated from her own infant son in order to care for her tiny charge. Thus begins an intense relationship that will shape both of their lives for decades to come. Though Lisbeth leads a life of privilege, she finds nothing but loneliness in the company of her overwhelmed mother and her distant, slave-owning father.

Even Bahni Turpin's amazing narration can't save this book. I think if it was labeled YA it would be fine, I can see a 6th-8th grader liking it and I would recommend it to a young person to read. However, as an adult who is an avid reader there is absolutely nothing original in this story. It was repetitive and boring. I can't even remember how many times she sang the same lullaby, it was enough to put me to sleep for sure. Bottom line for me is label this Young Adult and that way people will understand what they are getting into when they purchase it. Very disappointed

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

SK can actually write a love story! It was also a good history lesson. He really brought the late 50's early 60's to light for me. Hard to imagine going back in time and giving up all the things we take for granted. I had no idea where this story was headed and it truly suprised me. I dont want to give anything away, so I will just say it was 30+ hrs that flew by. I loved it! Dont miss this one!

Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. "Jess and Jason," she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost. And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel offers what she knows to the police, and becomes inextricably entwined in what happens next, as well as in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good? Compulsively readable, The Girl on the Train is an emotionally immersive, Hitchcockian thriller and an electrifying debut.

This audio had an excellent narrator and that made it possible to keep listening. I am not one that is good at guessing plots but this book was so predictable that it was ridiculous. I feel like this author is one step above Danielle Steele. If you want an easy listening experience that is really mindless you might enjoy this, but otherwise save your credits for something that is written better and has a bit more substance

The Spanish House is a mixture of designs, Georgian, Gothic and Moorish, as if whoever started it had simply got bored. It has long been known as an architectural folly to locals, and is now nearly derelict to boot. When its reclusive owner dies intestate, the Spanish House is left to his city-dwelling niece. For Isabel, recently widowed, the house is a potential lifeline - the only hope she has of providing for her two children without having to sell her most treasured possession.

Graham Greene’s evocative analysis of the love of self, the love of another, and the love of God is an English classic that has been translated for the stage, the screen, and even the opera house. Academy Award-winning actor Colin Firth (The King’s Speech, A Single Man) turns in an authentic and stirring performance for this distinguished audio release.

Ok, I really tried with this one. My husband likes Graham Greene so I was excited to listen to one of my favorite actors narrate this book. What a disappointment! Yes, Colin has a wonderful voice and did the best job he could with this ridiculous nonsense. I could no longer stand the torture of this story after 1/2 way through. There was really no point to the story- all the characters were unlikable and I was not at all sympathetic to their "heartache", all self- inflicted and narcissistic. Dont waste your credits!

This classic tale is a fantastical fable of two dear friends - one of whom goes astray and is literally lost to the north woods, while the other undertakes an epic journey to rescue him. This charming, strange, and wonderful story is a timeless allegory about growing up and the challenges of staying true to one's self, and it served as the wintry inspiration for the blockbuster hit Frozen.
