Henry gets into so much trouble since he is impulsive. It's all anyone can do to keep saving Henry from all the trouble he gets into. He is a sweet boy but he needs lots of supervision.
The narrator does a great job with the characters and the story is interesting. I love "the flames", they are so mysterious and magical that you can't help being fascinated by them.
Worth the read. The ending is sad yes, but also hopeful. Gwen is young clueless magician who acts on instinct rather than knowledge most of the time. His anger gets him into plenty of trouble in this story but Gwen learns from his mistakes.
Lev is such a confused boy and this story show the event that truly breaks his heart. You don't turn your back on those in need without causing deep wounds that can lead to terrible consequences.
All the ladies drooling over Evan was pretty funny. Nia's loyalty to Evan was sweet and endearing. Everyone needs to be believed in.
This story was interesting. Nia was sweet and her dressing up in her mom's old clothes was cute. Her middle child status was relatable and Nia's need to be something special is how all of us feel at times.
I just love this series and the characters are priceless. Egyptian mythology is confusing but this series made learning about it entertaining.

James Langton is an excellent narrator. I love all the interactions between Elonwy and Taran. She is sharp tongued and continually baffles the poor boy.
