Byron the Carpathian has traveled the globe for centuries, desperately seeking a mortal woman for his lifemate. And then, in an Italian villa, he hears the threads of enchanting music.

    Overall

Christine Feehans books are remarkable. They combine imagery, emotion, complexity, and darkness in such a loving way. There is no other for me that can write a paranormal book this way all her books including this one are intriguing. Antoinetta and Byron are compeling characters who do not let adversity stand in their way. The ancient language and the code of natural healing along with the idea of a community coming together almost seems like something we should emmulate today. I only wish that men were as caring and concerned as Feehan's character are but not as bossy and controlling. Yet Feehan is not stingy in the sexual erotic area. These couples are highly sexual! They might even make you quiet hot under the collar. The stories all generally follow the same plot with some variations but it's always nice to see what new setting or situation is going on. Each book links them in some way to the previous ones but Feehan does not dwell too much on the previous characters unless it is in some way an integral part of the story. Her books are always good reads.

This holiday season, join two of today’s most popular paranormal authors for a special look into their worlds, where creatures are always stirring and no one sleeps through the night. The Bite Before Christmas: Teddy Brunswick knows about the immortals among us. He’s worked with them, called them friend - but he never counted on being snowed in with one over Christmas. Home for the Holidays by Jeaniene Frost: Cat and Bones are looking forward to a normal holiday - at least as “normal” as it gets for the combustible vampire couple....

What made the experience of listening to The Bite Before Christmas the most enjoyable?

The writing was very funny and made for an enjoyable listen.

Would you recommend The Bite Before Christmas to your friends? Why or why not?

I would reccomend it because Lyndsay Sands is a fabulous writer with a very funny approach to the subject matter.

What aspect of Paula Christensen and Tavia Gilbert ???s performance would you have changed?

The other 2 writers did not grab me nor pull me in to the story. I really did not listen for long.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

    Lyndsay Sands book was, yes.

Rafael De La Cruz has spent centuries hunting vampires with his brothers. With each passing year, his capacity to feel emotions has grown weaker and weaker, until finally there's barely a memory of one left - only sheer willpower keeps him from turning into the very abomination he hunts. But it'll take more than will to keep him away from the woman who is meant to be his and his alone.

Christine Feehans books are remarkable. They combine imagery, emotion, complexity, and darkness in such a loving way. There is no other for me that can write a paranormal book this way all her books including this one are intriguing. Rafael de la Cruz and Colby Jansen are compeling characters who do not let adversity stand in their way and are both extremely stubborn which makes for an interesting read. Gideon Raintree, a homicide detective, can harness electricity and talk to ghosts. He will need to wield gifts he's kept hidden to solve his newest case, a relentless serial killer unleashed by the dark Ansara wizards. But first he must deal with his reaction to Hope Malory, his alluring new partner. He'd never planned on love in the midst of battle.

This was truly an interesting twist. Gideon and his electrical mishaps in a world where everything is electronic and wireless makes for almost a funny no,no. However the story and Hope, the heroine have more than possibilities. Quiet a worthy read and author. Looking forward to reading another of her books.

Christine Feehans books are remarkable. They combine imagery, emotion, complexity, and darkness in such a loving way. There is no other for me that can write a paranormal book this way all her books including this one are intriguing. Lucian and Jaxon are definitely opposites. In a world where the male is the guardian it almost seems ludicrious for Jaxon to be protecting Lucian especially since we all know the powers these Carpathians weild. The ancient language and the code of natural healing along with the idea of a community coming together almost seems like something we should emmulate today.
