    Story

I have thoroughly enjoyed the myriad content provided by To the Best of Our Knowledge for over a year. However, this month, they started repeating several episodes that I have heard before. Not just one here and there, but every edition now is a repeat.

Still great if you haven't heard them before, but irritating if you have.

When Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy; perhaps it will buy his family meat for the winter. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself.

I listened to this book before reading any of the reviews or knowing the young age of the author. All I can say is that his age makes this an even more wonderous work.

I hope to see more from Paolini and am sure that his writing will mature as he does.

    Story

Max Tivoli is uniquely cursed. His mind ages normally, but he is born with the withered body of a 70-year-old man, and his body ages in reverse. Despite this torment, Max manages three times to cross paths with Alice, the woman who captures his heart. Because he appears to be a different person each time they meet, Max has three chances for true love.

    Story

The writing was prose. Every description came alive in my mind. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and will be seeking more by Greer.

The story was engaging and believable, even though the premise was sheer fantasy. You soon forgot the mechanics and just enjoyed the story.

    Story

Here is a world where men and dragons coexist amid political intrigue and dark magic, where the uneasy balance of power between the two is on the verge of becoming undone, threatening to unleash waves of destruction that will pit humans against humans as well as dragons against men for the domination of the world. Humanity's very survival is at risk.

    Story

The writing was contrived and the story disjointed. It was more like reading a text book than a novel. The relationships whether hetero or lesbian were flat and unrealistic. Not to say they were fantasy either. They were just boring and impossible to relate to.

I will not be looking to continue the series. It was all I could do to finish listening to this one - and that was only because I thought it must have to get better. It didn't.
